I wish Bama played today to flush what I saw yesterday.

Welp time to fully switch over to basketball mode. I have hope for this team but I’m hesitant to fully buy in.

This game at Vandy will be telling. Need to go into Nashville and beat their azz.

No more mulligans in league play. It’s time to put some wins together. Good news is we’ve badly beaten the teams we’re supposed to beat so far…hopefully that translates on the road in conf play.

Vandy is the worst team in the SEC, they’re 209 on KenPom. The next lowest ranked SEC team is LSU at 102.

Good way to start off SEC play, hopefully it will be an easy W.

With nothing better to do, I tabulated the ESPN WIN probabilities for our SEC schedule. They have us going 16/2. I'd take that. Actually a very slight favorite at Rupp. What are our chances of actually doin this?

...............win
@ v.........92.6
vs sc.......91.6
@ ms st.....57.6
vs mz.......92.3
@ tn.....................41.1 loss
vs au.......69.3
vs lsu......92.4
@ ga........77.3
vs ms st....81.6
@ au.....................41.7 loss
@ lsu.......77.5
vs tam......75.6
vs fl.......81.6
@ ky........50.9
@ o m.......75.3
vs tn.......70.0
@ fl........54.7
vs ak.......90.3

30 most impactful CBB players according to Evan Maya’s data. Sears is 20th and Estrada is 28th.

I could see us starting SEC play 9 and 2 with the losses being @Tenn and @Miss St.

The 2nd half of the SEC schedule is gonna be tough, hopefully we’re firing on all cylinders by then.

Still plenty of tickets available from what I’ve seen. Last year it sounded like a home game for Bama up there.

He is averaging a minute less than last year, plus fewer points, rebounds, and assists per game than last year. Was he the 22nd most impactful player last year? His 3 point percentage is better this year, but he shoots fewer than 1 per game. I wish he had stayed, but I don’t get the rating.

Its based in how effective you are on offense and defense when you’re in the game. In the few minutes he gets he is very effective is what it’s saying.

Most of the guys on the list play major minutes, I think there should be a minimum minutes requirement. It’s easier to play with max effort the whole time if you’re playing 10 minutes a game as opposed to playing 35 minutes a game.

I do think Bradley is a good player, I wish we had been able to keep him. He’s a really good defender.

He's going to bounce around 3 or 4 programs over the course of his career because he doesn't have the scoring bag to be the #1 option at a major program and will likely never accept it.

I've reached the acceptance phase on a new arena. As soon as "increased building costs" started to get referenced it was a signal that they were never really serious about this. Building costs only go down if the economy tanks ala 08-09, and if the economy tanks like that large scale building projects get put on the back burner anyway. So basically it'll take the country recovering from a major recession for a new arena to happen if current construction costs are simply too prohibitive. They aren't of course, as we are seeing large scale construction projects all over the place right now, but it's an easy excuse for Byrne to make.

Right. Baylor just opened a new 7,500 seat arena this week. I really hope we get 10,500 -12,000 seats, or the cost of tickets will skyrocket. Right now the coaches want NIL more than the new arena.

We’ve won our last 4 games there. Oats is 3 and 0 as a coach when we have played @Vandy.

We used to have trouble winning there but not so much lately.

can’t wait for the yearly update from Byrne where he says costs are too high and we’re currently trying to raise the money, all while football is being given all the money to underachieve the last 3 seasons.

Based on....? I believe we hit the 6th anniversary of Byrne's grand facility upgrades plan this year and all he has to show for it on the basketball front is a fricking design rendering.
