Lots of hand wringing from some fair weather fans. It was not a great night from Bama, but I’ll see you guys at our first NCAA tournament game.

Nelson is a great talent but it seems other teams are just going to let him shoot the 3.

That's a good point.
If I were the opposing coach, I wouldn't defend Nelson's 3 points. Instead, all drive-in routes will be blocked.

Crowd was embarrassing tonight. Full student section and about 50% filled in the paying sections.....for a game that is the equivalent of an SEC game.

I’m not as checked out as y’all on this team yet.

This is a disappointing loss because it’s at home, but teams can gel over time and this group is still pretty new.

I do have concerns that this bunch doesn’t have the athletes to play at Nate’s pace.

Amazing that I’m getting called a FOG for pointing out expecting Pringle to be starter caliber is a fool’s errand. He is a bench C/F type on a good team. We needed Chuck back to pair with Nelson. The classic Dallas Mavs type of pairing with Dirk: the enforcer center.

Additionally, Griffen seems like a project player who may be a project for another season. He’s not got it together. They need him to be the late game get to the rim guy but he ain’t it yet.

Offense: Some guys just simply need to step up and be men. The amount of missed open shots and paint looks was ridiculous.

Defense: knock off the full court useless press, and quit trying to apply intense pressure 30+ feet out. Constantly chasing guys into the lane works against inferior athletes/talent but against legit teams it just leads to easy baskets. It also seems to wear down Bama as much as anything.

Before back to studying for a few days, I respect you much as a poster on here George but you can’t say there arent some very outlandish takes being made right now.

Not all of it’s the end of the world, but certain posters love to come here after we lose and are seldom found during the good times when we’re rolling

Gave up 85 points. Nate has to shake things up. We are just awful on defense. This can't continue

I mean going back to scrimmages we have lost 4/5 to power 5 teams and this will be the first time we allowed under 90…

I don’t think people calling out the glaring weaknesses makes anyone a fair weather fan. It’s just being realistic this team at current isn’t very good.

Can Alabama improve? Yes but it will take a lot.

I think this team has shown more flaws through multiple games against other power 5 level teams than any team Oats has had since the very first one. We've had inconsistent teams that had some bad losses, but this one hasn't shown a ceiling even close to the 2021-22 team or the 2020-21 team.

We haven't played a top 4 seed level team yet and we're 1-2 with neither loss being particularly close down the stretch.

Way too early to give up on this team but there's a lot wrong right now.

Estrada and Nelson are two of the key talented upperclassmen but I'd say they're as big of question marks as anyone right now.

Nelson isn't much of a defender and therefore needs to be superb offensively instead of spotty.

Estrada hasn't been that solid defensively.

Read this board every day for the last four years, just don’t feel the need to post every thought. Haven’t missed a Bama game on tv or radio for thirty years. I am invested, just not panicking.

The attendance was bad, but the attendance at most CBB games I’ve turned on this season has not been great.

I guess the late tip did a number on our crowd. I didn’t think it’d be great, but it was worse than I expected.

I had to coach tonight or I’d have been there. Couldn’t give my season tix away. 8:30 tip is awful.

The fans didn’t have much to cheer for anyway. One decent stretch early in the second half where we got a 7 point lead, which we promptly gave away with what has become a signature second half stretch of multiple possessions without getting a single defensive stop.

I mean….this team is on par with Nate’s very first team IMO.

And that is NOT good
