Most conversations and my posts stick to Bama football in this thread. In the off-season sometimes it gets off track. I didn’t bring up bourbon, but I figured on a Tuesday 10 days before the season starts it wouldn’t hurt to make ONE comment in reply. I don’t think it’s that big a deal.

My go-to is Four Roses Small Batch or Small Batch Select. I’ve done several distillery tours in Kentucky and met master distiller Brent Elliott and kind of got hooked on Four Roses. In 2011, I ran in the Bourbon Chase 24-hour Relay and spent the night on the ground at Four Roses in a sleeping bag. Strict no drinking policy during the race but it’s a killer party afterward in downtown Lexington.

Very cool. I sell wine and spirits for a living and get a lot of free bottles. Four Roses is one of the most consistently good bourbons, and a bit underrated in the world of whiskey.. Their Single Barrels are almost always excellent.

Kind of like Alabama football. (Is that on-topic enough?)

Going through drills he will throw the first ball, when it rotates back to his turn he wouldn't throw. I noticed Ty, Austin, and Dylan would get multiple throws in a drill. I thought Jalen might be on a pitch count from the scrimmage. The 2 walk-ons don't get a throw in some of the drills.

This vid from is a little easier to see.

I see that now. Good observation. Could be like you said with a pitch count or could be nothing. Or....

Wow, what a fantastic interview. Very contrite about the transfer situation and also great to hear that he didn’t expect to be awarded a starting spot immediately. Very impressive young man.

I guess you missed the CTSN tweet with the picture of the Evan Williams bottles and the football and the Alabama logo inside Bryant Denny Stadium. Yeah you are right, so far off track, and nothing to do with Alabama football.

You can always tell when the season is getting close, that’s when the board is infiltrated with miserable bitches who live to make other people miserable and police conversations while claiming to know what Surge would or would not have approved of.

My man! I’ve always got a bottle of 4 Roses single barrel open and on hand, they even have it at Costco most of the time. Any chance you work in NE Alabama?

Four Roses SB is a great buy. Costco also has some ridiculously low prices on good stuff like Woodford Double Oak and Old Forrester 1910, etc.

And no, I work in California where the spirits industry isn't state-controlled. A lot of bottles like Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare are plentiful out here while being hard to come by in certain pockets of the south.

Kind of like yards will be tough to come by against the Alabama defense this year (trying to stay on topic, since it's apparently a big deal.)

Oh man! Dang always I see pictures on Reddit and FB of crazy deals and availability of bottles in California at Costco and Walmart and other places. I am super envious. Stuff I will never see in Alabama. I need to make a trip.

People can complain all they want, I don’t care. If they aren’t miserable about this topic they will chose to be miserable about a different one.

In fairness, they aren’t wrong about this. Surge, May he RIP, would have left the board for 6 months over the deviation.
