Get this win tomorrow and steamroll into Knoxville next weekend.
Take our shot against those nasty Vols and see what happens.

We're on the road 3 out of the 4 weekends in April.

going to be tough to get a road win at UT the way they are playing
Posted on 4/9/22 at 6:23 pm to mrbroker
Yeah.
Getting one would be huge though. We have Georgia at home the following week and South Carolina on the road after that. Need to win at least one of those series, hopefully both.

This team can take both those series. I know we shouldn’t count anything yet. But we are good enough.

Pitching needs to get fixed ASAP.
We're raking at the plate. Almost everyone is hitting above .260 at the moment.
If we can get the pitching under control we can absolutely win 45 games this season.

Yeah. I just hope to somehow steal a win. Even that is probably a tall task.

Considering they haven’t lost a SEC game yet this year, including sweeping both Ole Miss and Vandy on the road, I would definitely consider that a tall task.

Denton’s Two-Run Homer in Extras Seals Baseball’s 12-10 Win at No. 7 Ole Miss
A wild, back-and-forth game between Alabama and seventh-ranked Ole Miss went to extra innings, with the Crimson Tide coming out on top, 12-10, on Saturday afternoon at Oxford-University Stadium. The win clinched the series for the Tide and moved UA to 20-12 on the season and 6-5 in Southeastern Conference play.
The two teams combined for 22 runs and 27 hits, including eight home runs, while trading leads all afternoon. Alabama was first on the board with one run in the third, but a pair of solo home runs in the home half gave Ole Miss the lead. The Tide regained the advantage in the fourth with two runs but another pair of homers – a solo and a three-run shot – for the Rebels in the fourth put them back in front. Alabama was able to get three runs in the sixth before a grand slam from Drew Williamson in the seventh gave UA the advantage once again. A two-run shot for the Rebels in the eighth cut the lead to one and continued the home run derby, before Tim Elko's solo home run in the bottom of the ninth evened things up at 10 apiece to send the game to extras.
In the top of the 10th, Alabama rallied for a pair of two-out runs. The sequence started with a single from William Hamiter. He was followed by Zane Denton, with the junior recording his first hit of the weekend – the go-ahead, two-run home run. Dylan Ray returned to the mound for the home half of the 10th, getting a pair of flyouts and a 6-3 groundout to lock down the series-clinching win.
Ray (1-2) picked up his first win of the season, tossing 2.1 innings and allowing one run on two hits and a walk with two punchouts. Preceding Ray was Jake Leger, with the junior college transfer keeping Alabama in the game for 4.0 innings. Leger allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out eight. Leger's 4.0 innings of relief were the most by any Tide bullpen arm this season.
Alabama's offense was led by Williamson. The senior finished 3-for-5 with a team-high five RBI and three runs scored to go with a walk and the grand slam. Also tallying three hits was Andrew Pinckney, who finished 3-for-4 with a double, one walk and a team-high tying three runs scored.
From Head Coach Brad Bohannon
"This was an amazing effort from so many guys who made so many winning plays today. We kept fighting all game. The way Dylan Ray responded after the home run was huge. Drew Williamson had the big grand slam. Obviously, Zane (Denton) had the big home run. Tommy Seidl had the amazing catch in right in the ninth. And the list goes on and on. It was just a really complete team effort and a huge, huge win today."
