not a great look Bama and at home. We gave up 4 HR's today so far

it’s not like bama has faced a lot of excellent pitching today.
every mistake our pitchers made today got tattooed!
their pitchers make a mistake and bama pops up or hits a weak-arse, five-hopper grounder.

we have peoples that love to brag when Dio hits a HR To win a game but he hit a weak tapper to the pitcher to end the game. We need him to be a hitter for average but alas I dont think it will happen.

If anyone finds a silver lining to today, please share. Skyhawks are predicted to finish 9th in the Ohio Valley conference. Below is their schedule to date. This feels like the Bama/Georgia basketball game all over again. Troy comes to town tomorrow so the team better suck it up. I, on the other hand, will wallow in self pity for just a bit longer.

Baseball Falls in Back-and-Forth Matchup with UT-Martin on Tuesday, 7-6
Alabama baseball suffered a 7-6 loss to UT-Martin on Tuesday afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The loss was UA's first at home and drops the Crimson Tide to 5-4 on the season.
The two teams traded runs all afternoon. UT-Martin was first to strike with a pair in the third, but Alabama came right back with one run in the home half of the inning. The Crimson Tide gained the advantage in the bottom of the fifth with a pair of runs, before the Skyhawks took the lead right back in the next half inning with two runs of their own to make it a 4-3 ballgame. UT-Martin added one more in the top of the seventh to widen the gap, but a two-run home run for the Tide in that same frame evened things up at five apiece.
The ninth saw UT-Martin go in front thanks to a two-run home run, sending the game to the final half inning. Alabama managed one run in the bottom of the ninth and reached the tying run with two down, but a groundout ended things in favor of the Skyhawks, 7-6. Matt Dickey (1-1) got the win while Blake Davis picked up his second save of the season for UT-Martin. Alabama reliever Hunter Furtado (1-1) suffered the loss.
Five of the nine Crimson Tide starters posted multi-hit efforts on the afternoon. Dominic Tamez led the way with a 3-for-5 showing that included a double. Drew Williamson, Tommy Seidl, Caden Rose and Andrew Pinckney all contributed two-hit efforts, with Williamson notching a double and Pinckney recording his first home run. Also homering in the game was Zane Denton, with the junior leading the Tide in RBI at three.
From Head Coach Brad Bohannon
"This was a tough loss today. You have got to give a lot of credit to UT-Martin, they came out and swung the bats well. I didn't do a very good job getting us ready to play. We just came off an exciting weekend, and I do not think that our energy level was the same as it had been. When we got behind, it woke our guys up, and we showed some good fight, but we didn't play well enough to win today."
