I thought we’d score some runs this series but was worried about our arms. Frick me …

It's been the same song and dance for 3 years against top level teams. I love what Bo has done with the roster and program in general, but until we figure out how to win close games against top 10 teams our ceiling is basically last season

Time for a new approach with hitting. That’s a start.

Did we trade hitting coaches with Murphy and the girls? This is how they have looked against top teams before this season.

RollTide.com:

Strong Pitching Performance Not Enough in Baseball’s 2-0 Loss at Top-Ranked Texas

The Longhorns were able to cross one run apiece in the third and fourth innings for the win

Alabama baseball came up short on Saturday against No. 1 Texas despite another strong performance on the mound, with the Longhorns claiming a 2-0 win at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Saturday decision clinched the series for UT and moved the Crimson Tide to 5-2 on the season.

Hits were tough to come by for both teams once again, with the Tide out-hitting the Longhorns for a second straight afternoon. Alabama tallied five hits and a walk and was able to reach the leadoff man in the final two innings but could not get on the board. Texas starter Tristan Stevens (2-0) earned the win with 6.0 scoreless frames. Reliever Luke Harrison picked up his first save of the year, working the final 3.0 innings for UT.

Alabama's starter was solid for a second straight game, with Antoine Jean (0-1) suffering the hard-luck loss. Jean allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work. Hunter Furtado followed with 3.0 relief innings, sitting down all nine batters in order, including one punchout.

From Head Coach Brad Bohannon
"Antoine (Jean) did a really good job against an all right-handed lineup, did a really good job locating his changeup for us. I don't believe in moral victories, but I'm really proud of the way we competed. This is the second day in a row that we out-hit Texas, second day in a row we've hit more balls on the barrel and hard. Baseball's not fair, but if we play tomorrow the way that we've played the last two days, then we should have a chance to come out on top."

I’m thankful for what Bo has done, just don’t think this is the answer.

Hamiter batted in the 4th inning yesterday and nothing else mentioned until this, when Pinckney moved over to Right Field.

Alabama Baseball OF William Hamiter Out with Broken Foot (SI)

The junior is batting .292 through seven games this season
quote:

A source with inside knowledge of the injury told BamaCentral there is no time for Hamiter's return. That being said, the typical amount of time that is usually expected for this particular type of injury is 8-10 weeks.

This is stupid but seeing Texas “Dirt Patches” around their bases makes me miss when the Phillies, Reds, and Pirates use to play at stadiums like that.
