A lot of positives from the last 5 games. I just want 1 out of 3 this weekend and keep another tight. Good start.

He did well in the summer league. Not sure the level of pitching though.

Glad to see all the new faces today. Hayslip came in for Hamiter in the batting order and in right field. Had two at bats but didn’t reach base. Made a few catches and had one (bad) fielding error that turned a single into a triple and ultimately lead to a score by ASU. Good to see him and the other new guys get in today.

Steady Offense, Solid Pitching Help Baseball Cruise to 9-2 Win over Alabama State
The Tide bats totaled a season-high 14 hits while six arms combined to allow just two runs on the day
Alabama baseball paired consistent pressure on offense with a solid pitching performance to cruise to a 9-2 win over Alabama State on Wednesday afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. With the midweek victory, the Crimson Tide is now 5-0 on the season.
Alabama combined for a season-high 14 hits and scored in five of the eight innings, posting two runs apiece in the second, third, sixth and seventh frames to go with a single tally in the fourth. The Crimson Tide was led offensively by Jim Jarvis. The junior shortstop finished 2-for-4, including his first career home, to go with a career-high three runs scored and team-high tying two RBI. Also homering in the game was Drew Williamson with the senior matching Jarvis in RBI and adding a run and a walk to his totals.
Six Tide pitchers combined to allow just two runs on the day, only one of which was earned. The group struck out seven and was highlighted by Hunter Ruth (1-0), who was credited with the win. The redshirt senior tossed 2.0 innings of scoreless baseball and struck out three. Hagan Banks made his first collegiate start in the game, posting 2.0 scoreless frames with a walk and two punchouts.

I know it’s not likely, but imagine if we take that series.

Battle of unbeatens this weekend as Alabama (5-0) travels to Austin to take on #1 Texas (5-0). Will be the first meeting between the two since 1983, when the Tide and Longhorns met in the Championship Game of the College World Series.

Is the Longhorn Network part of ESPN+?
Posted on 2/24/22 at 12:05 pm to Bham Bammer
This isn’t a definitive answer but I don’t think so. I checked the schedule for ESPN+ and don’t see the Bama-Texas games on there. The only suggestion I’ve seen is to sign up for a free trial of Sling to watch the games. There is a possibility of inclement weather so watch for time shifts in the already shifted schedule.

Link worked for me so I guess it is on ESPN+ as well. Thought I read it was an LHN exclusive.
