Can anyone explain to me why would we be throwing the ball with 14 seconds left on the clock backed up near our own endzone before halftime? Didnt we throw a pick 6 doing that last year vs South Carolina?

We had a 3rd and 2 and threw twice

Made 0 sense. Bizarre call. Close to getting a safety with a holding in the endzone.
$10 million a year for stupid crap like that is pure robbery.

Well, when you have the #116 team in the country in rushing yards per game and #119 in the country in yards per carry, it limits your options.
I'm going to keep saying it...for most of us, if we were as incompetent and unproductive as the coaches who impact the running game...OL, RB, S&C, and OC...we would be fired.

Grubb and Deboer both are in over their head. Its obvious they do not understand big-boy SEC football. Until Deboer leaves, Bama is going to be soft and run stupid finesse offense.

The look on Grubb's face the entire game showed fear.

They were literally playing for the conference championship against a team they had already beaten on the road. They got there playing one of the toughest schedules in the country.
You can fault them for lack of adjustments but to suggest they are in over their heads is asinine.

I feel for Ty. I think he has unreal talent that is not being tapped because Grubb is failing to help bring out the best in him. Ty needs a sports psychologist and some help from a running game. Ty also needs to stop feeling from the coaches the whole game rides on his shoulders.....Grubb's play-calling has shown he is nuts as a play caller.

It was one of the stupidest coaching decisions I’ve seen from an Alabama coach. We haven’t had a true explosive play in months, our QB is shell shocked, and our OL is getting mauled. So let’s try to go 90 yards in 14 seconds and start it off with a short TE pass.

Wow Ty basically is this victim that everyone else is failing.
Amazing
Incredible how the same people who hate participation trophies apparently don't as long as someone they want is receiving one.
What happened to accountability? Nah just blame everyone else.

quote:Oh there plenty of blame to pass around . Mostly from the coaching staff for not being able to teach toughness and fundamental skills. I was just discussing Ty right there.

We've done that all year because we have no run game.
3rd and 2 has been lower conversion than like 3rd and 8.
