Come into the year with hype and hope over a few players. Get smacked in the opener on the road never really being in it except for one moment.

It was a long time ago, but this team seems to have that same disconnected type of personality. No fire and weak in the trenches. Was hoping we’d not have to revisit those days, but here we are.

Good. We fired our head coach that season.

That 2000 team would beat this teams asses by 3 touchdowns.

Nobody really hyped us up except for the sycophant Bama website/podcast gurus.

That Freddie Milons return was fire though.

Clint Lamb is constantly pumping sunshine on his site. I’ve learned to not listen to him.

I remember that like it was yesterday. Bama came into the season ranked #3. I thought we were winning the National Championship after that return. Then, it turned out to be the worst season in my lifetime.

For one shining moment that season was amazing.

Felt like that after the first drive today… then it turned into a complete mess, just like against UCLA.

Was about to say this.

Eerily similar first games. Kalen got a propensity for office secretaries by chance?

I hate that Freddie didn’t pan out. Dude was basically my archetype for the slot receiver growing up. Then he basically evaporated
