This may sound crazy but we're a few changes from being one of the best

It mainly comes down to the offensive line and playcalling. With QB you're not getting a world beater with Milroe or Simpson.

We need to move Proctor (#74) to LG and drop Dalcourt. Move Latham to RT. Then bring someone up to play RG or RT, while you put Booker at RG or RT. Then force Seth to get better at snapping the ball.

With re-organized offensive line we can be more consistent running and giving whoever the QB is more time.

We can basically use both QBs depending on who we fave although if we're honest Milroe has proven he can at least beat up on a bad team and score on a good one.

We need our OC to be better as well.

If we get those things our offense is fixed enough to compete and that helps our defense

I mean it's true.

2 TDs called back for penalties against Texas. Lost by 10.

2 TDs called back for penalties and a INT against USF. Could have easily won by 17-24.

With that being said.... It's the Head Coach. We should have made the NCG last year with that talent. We are missing discipline.

I honestly agree. I’m not sure it’s easy, but a few missing pieces and we are in there with the best of em. Pick a WB and stick with them. I suggest Ty. I think at worst he is AJ; Procter isn’t a tackle and dalcourt isn’t a starter. A few pieces and we are a good team. I think our D is pretty good.

QB Carousel.... No Consistency and allowing for someone to start a rhythm.

A rainy game to prove whose the best thrower. Huge OL facing a smaller team. Kind of one of those perfect storms.

However, the discipline is shite. No way to sugar coat that.

The offense isn't getting fixed this year and some of you just need to accept that. 2023 is going to be a long and miserable road for us.

We were just embarrassed by a team that was blown out by WKU and struggled with a HBCU. Our scout team should have blown these guys out of the stadium. There's no goddamn reason to be optimistic after this catastrophe and this isn't going to be a simple fix.

Two weeks in a row now we've looked awful against awful teams (and no Texas isn't the GOAT team either). The performance tonight is even more alarming. Hopefully after Golding shits on us next week, some of you guys will put down the Crimson bleach.

If this were Auburn or LSU, you guys sure as hell wouldn't be this delusional.

The denial here is palpable.

Well that is on the playcaller.

We can fix the OL if we actually try to make changes there instead of putting all the blame on the QB.

Current OL status:
-LT: non-functional in pass pro
-LG: injured, non-functional
C: possibly injured, definitely non-functional
RG: didn’t track it with Ferguson, DD is non-functional
RT: very good

IF we find a LT to replace Proctor and
IF we can then shift Proctor to LG and
IF we can get Booker healthy and
IF we can get McLaughlin functional at C

If we can do all of that I think we are where we would need to be at OL, but that’s four major questions that need to be addressed to make this puzzle work, the biggest to me being do we have a functional replacement at LT because it fixes two problems at once IMO.

Not sure reshuffling the OL like that this far into the season is a wise move.

This is exactly what I was saying. Great post.

There is a solution out there with this OL. For one we should know by now Proctor is too slow to be at LT, but he does block well. So he should definitely be inside at LG.

shouldnt latham be the blind side LT as that is where most of the sacks last night came from?

Yeah I would move Latham to LT.

LT - Latham
LG - Proctor
C - Seth
RG - Booker/New Guard
RT - Booker/New Tackle

This is intelligent.

We have the talent. What we need is out coaching staff to actually solve the issue and move players where they will be best. For instance Latham has been decent. Proctor is good blocking but slow. Etc.

I'd give Pritchett a shot.

Starting conference play next week, with that many changes … no thanks.

Yeah, why not?

If we go against Ole Miss with Proctor at LT then we are asking to get beat badly again. He can't handle LT and he has gotten Milroe and Ty Simpson killed.

IMHO we need to run more pistol sets. Gained good yardage every time from that set. It gives the RB more time to see the hole and react.

But musical chairs on the OL the week conference play begins isn’t insanity. Be sure & phone in these suggestions to Coach Saban, thanks.
