going to be a terror on the field this year. His passing has improved so much and will have eye-popping stats this year. Who's stoked?

Tua will only play this year in mop up duty which is good for a TF. This is Jalen's team and the entire team knows he's one hell of a leader.

Yep. I like how calm he is and how he's stayed focused and gotten better even while Tua has come in and looked great. He doesn't feel pressure, or he doesn't show it at least

I don't think Tua will play one snap this year unless Jalen gets hurt. They will try their best to Redshirt him.

There are only 3 scholarship QB on the roster, with two of them true freshman. If Tua is your second best QB, then you have to play him.

Let's say Hurts goes down in the 3rd quarter of the LSU game and the game is tied. How could you put in Tua with no game experience and expect to win the game?

If there was another scholarship QB on the roster, then Tua would probably red shirt. Really, all 3 of your scholarship QB will need game experience.

I agree with this. He has to get some experience

I think they will treat this situation like they did in 09 with AJ. We'll find out soon enough I guess.

I'm not sure we can KNOW this yet.

But, if he can do in real games what he did in the spring game, then yes, this offense will be a force.

Spring game and random praise from the Manning Academy is only good to get fans pumped up.

It has worked. I'm VERY pumped, but I'm also old enough to know that it isn't wise to fill out the Heisman ballot until real games get cranked up.

Has he figured out the complexities of the forward pass yet?

We'll find out soon. But at least he didn't quit on his team like Blake Barnett did. Not gonna complain much about Jalen when he went 14-1 with an SEC championship and 1 second away from a national title as a true freshman.

I was just joking around.

I love Jalen and am glad we have him but the kid has got to improve his passing.

If only there wasn't so much bureaucracy in regulations with the NCAA, then the 4-game freshamn redshirt rule would already be passed and we could still redshirt Tua as long as he doesn't play a fifth game.

I am pretty excited about the offense this year. Jalen Hurts will be a question mark as a passer until we see it live this fall but God help the conference if he has improved like reports indicate. With Jeudy, Ridley and Foster to stretch the field, a 7 or 8 man front to stop our ground game will be suicide.

I think we get much of the same with a little improvement. Most of the big plays in the spring game came against T. Brown who was completely inexperienced at db. This will not be the case against fsu, lsu, au, etc. His biggest leap for improvement will be his jr year. We will be good, but not scary good.
