Y’all know the rest. Oats now 6-3 vs Pearl.

Ps. Anyone know who is the PA announcer at Coleman. I noticed in the game tonight, it sounded like Tony Giles when I heard him on TV. Giles was the announcer when I was a student and I’m old. Didn’t think it could be him, but sure sounded like it.

Huge win over a very talented team. Great job by Oats mentally preparing the team. They responded, despite what that durpass Opry thinks about them

I think Giles became the PA announcer in the 80s when Wimp was coach. I remember there being a little controversy when he replaced Simpson Pepper for football.

Anyway, when I heard the PA announcer tonight, it too me back to my years as a student and getting to Coleman early to try and get good seats. 92-96. When I heard the voice, I swear I could smell the popcorn.

1992-1997 for undergraduate and graduate. Watching Antonio McDyess was a treat. Basketball is fun again at Alabama and hope we can keep Coach Oats for many years. This was a huge win. Will have hands full in their place next weekend but celebrating today!

Imagine how good this team could be if they got anything from a big? And they one without Estrada scoring a point!

It would be easier to keep Nate Oats and easier to recruit if Alabama would get off their arse and build a new arena and quit bitching about the cost. They got caught in the inflation spiral of the past few years, and I understand that but moaning and crying about it won’t change anything and it’s not going to get any cheaper anytime soon. Float a bond or have another fund raising campaign and get that damn arena built! Coleman is the most embarrassing building on campus and a university that prides itself in state of the art athletic facilities should be ashamed to still have that airplane hangar in use.
