You’re just being a blind homer or trolling. I’m going with trolling because I know you’re not a dumb poster.

They were 16 years apart. Our strength and conditioning were light years ahead of theirs.

I'm not saying we would beat them by 50, but we definitely would win if matched up.

It's hard to give up a sack when you only pass it 5 times a game.

That 2001 Miami team is another story all together. They'd give our 2011 team a much tougher game.

All homerism and trolling aside.

Another thing to consider is coaching. Saban coaches tight as hell in big games whereas Osbourne let his boys loose. That would probably be the biggest difference in a potential matchup. If Saban let the boys loose it would be a much better comparison.

1995 Nebraska deserves GOAT status just because they dominated everyone. However, I think their S&C level was well beyond everyone else. That would be neutralized against us. Just like I think modern offenses would probably have success against the 92 defense. Athletes & Coaches get better over time. I do think our NC teams could challenge any other NC team but we don’t get credit from other fans because we aren’t flashy on offense.

That 92 team would be lucky to go 9-3 in today's game.

It's a different era.

That doesn't take away from what they accomplished on the field though. You play who is on your schedule.

Same thing with 95 Nebraska. They were absolutely dominant, but today's game has passed them by. 2016 Clemson would have murdered them.

Well yeah which is what makes comparing teams from different eras kinda pointless. But what that ‘95 team did was absolutely incredible.

They actually averaged 19 per game.

I just get annoyed because it seems most Bama fans (especially the ones on BOL) have a hard time giving a lot of praise or credit to other players or teams.

It's all good man.

I know we aren't the best ever (one single team at least), but neither is that Nebraska team.

Like you said, it's pointless to compare teams from different eras, but it's the off-season so we're left with meaningless discussion.

I will say that our 2019 team looks like it could potentially be in discussion for tGOAT assuming we don't have a ton of injuries and our young dudes progress like we hope.

That was fantastic.

The glaring omission for me was Vinnie Sunseri’s pick six of Manziel.

Also, there were highlights from the 09 Iron Bowl, but not the Upchurch TD?

It was a good highlight reel but they left out a butt ton of plays.

The Upchurch is a major omission and I added it to my list. I believe the INT return you are talking about happened in the 2013 game @ A&M and this video only included highlights from the championship seasons (09,11,12,15,17)

I get the idea, and unless I put in the time and effort to make my own, I can't really bitch, but there are soooooooooooo many incredible plays that happened in non-NC seasons. I'd enjoy a more-comprehensive reel even better.

I guess I didn't realize that while watching it. Odd to include highlights of games we lost but not highlights of huge games we won.

Coop's TD on a slant from Sims in Death Valley, along with DeAndrew White's subsequent TD catch in OT were huge. Plays from the '16 season are almost too many to count, but Jon Allen's TD against Ole Miss, Ryan Anderson's TD against Washington, and Jalen's 4th Q TD run against LSU stand out to me.

Yes it's a shame we didn't win it all in 16 considering all the great defensive and special teams scores we put up that year.
