Depends on the loss. If it’s a blowout, well it gets harder to put that team in doesn’t it?
Not at all

A 1 loss Mich or TCU is 100% 10/10 every day of the week getting in over a 2 loss Alabama team that didn’t make the SECCG

But if Michigan, TCU, Tenn, USC lose today Alabama would have what, at least a 50% chance to make it?

Michigan gets blown out, you’re putting a team in the playoff who you know is no match for Georgia or OSU. They’d have to play Georgia, because they won’t match them back up with OSU.

Close loss they’re in. Blowout they’re not

Nope because if both don't win their conference they don't have the conference title over us

Michigan's schedule has been pathetic and the committee has noted it. It's why they are always ranked lower. We are ranked higher because our schedule is so tough.

With TCU losing in the B12 championship to an inferior team they can't back them in because they have had so many close calls.

People have to realize that how you lose matters and we lost only one game in regular time and both losses away from home at top 10 teams for a combined 4 points. Plus we have Bryce Young and people want to see him so he sells ratings

UGA
Michigan
OSU

are all guaranteed a spot right now. TCU has the inside track on that last spot, I don't think we're even in the running tbh. We needed Michigan to lose today.

Looks like USC is gonna win today too, they would jump us easily as well

The Big 10 won’t get 2 with a late loss and weak schedule.
I just don’t see any way the committee would drop Michigan from 3 to behind us after a loss to OSU and an 11-1 record.

If USCw loses tonight or in the PAC12 title game and TCU drops one, then I think anything is possible with the committee.
See, now that Michigan won today( ) I could see Alabama not even getting all that close to the final 4. I think we REALLY needed a 2 loss Michigan.

13-0 Georgia
12-1 or 13-0 OSU
13-0 or 12-1 TCU
11-1 Michigan
12-1 or 11-2 USC (flip USC and Michigan I guess, but it doesn’t matter)

10-2 Alabama

This is how I see it playing out now. If USC loses tonight I still think they could be ranked ahead of Alabama if they win the Pac 12(would they still go to the Pac 12 championship?). I also think the committee would think about keeping Tenn over Alabama.

Anyways, Michigan was the big one. I think then having 2 losses would open the door for the committee putting Alabama in with little pushback. Now there’s just too much to overcome, imo.

This is where I’m at.

Michigan was the one we REALLY needed. And it would have busted the door wide open.

The committee plays around too much with narratives and shite they they themselves build. Now that Michigan(or OSU) is 11-1 at worst, it has given the committee the ability to not even consider Alabama.

If Michigan loses, I think they have a better than 50% chance of putting Alabama in.

No way in hell does Bama deserve to be in the playoff conversation this year. They don't have a single impressive win and have lost to two good, not great teams.

Bingo, I am by no means a defeatist, but I don’t see us beating any of the teams that we would possibly match up with.

STFU.

What impressive win does Michigan or OSU have? Clemson?

Tired of you existent negabammers who think we have to win every game and be perfect while everyone else doesn't.

We have played the hardest schedule of any top team and all our toughest games were away from home.

If the right teams lose, we damn well deserve to be in. I hope we get in and you can protest and boycott

So we need.. Clemson to lose to NC USC to lose to UCLA, ND or PAC12 championship TCU to lose to Kansas State If that happens two teams are in; Georgia and OSU/Michigan. The next two is about resume with non-conference winning teams which include Alabama, tenn, Mich/OSU, TCU and two-loss PAC champion. Our resume is better than everyone except two loss PAC champ. They would put us in
I can kind of hear you on this.

I guess I’m just looking at it as we’re back in it being possible but need some SERIOUS help, where if Michigan loses today we’re legitimately looking at a playoff spot.

Michigan purposely played a horrendous out of conference schedule and the committee has wanted to make an example of them.

If OSU wins they are putting a team in with the 85th toughest schedule that played two competitive teams the entire season.

It isn’t about whether we think we deserve it when compared to what we think Alabama’s standard is.

It’s about what is happening around the country THIS year.

Alabama had to go on the road to Tenn, LSU, Texas, and Ole Miss.

Losing by a total of 4, and the way we lost them, will be an ASSET for Alabama IF the right things shake out coming down the stretch here.

If Overrated State blows out Michigan and we beat the barn we move ahead of Michigan.

Now that could very well mean us 5th and Michigan 6th.

5th is our absolute ceiling. Anyone hoping for a slide into 4th is just wasting their time, there's literally no angle now.

Sorry Benny.

Agreed we won’t get in, but to say there’s no angle simply isn’t correct.
