How will Cubelic handle it? He's got a morning show on Sirius XM SEC channel.

I’m guessing he’ll stick to WJOX since it’s temporary but that’s just a guess.
Ryan Brown posted on Twitter some new platform/account they are building. Curious whether that is planned or something they’re having to do suddenly. They had a good thing going at WJOX so something had to make them suddenly risk it all by going out on their own. Either one of the team was going to get let go and they decided to stick together or they’ve run the numbers and think they have a sure thing with this new platform.

My guess is some online show, or Sirius XM show, maybe the SEC sports show that Cubelic is on now.
They're every bit as good as the main Sirius xm sports channel 84's personalities.

Looks like I'm wrong about a possible Sirius XM show.
They have created this "DBL Sports" twitter handle, have tweeted about renting some office space off I 459 and 280, and made mention to not doing radio anymore.
I assume at least 1 of them at least lurks here, but I guess we won't know anything til a formal announcement.

I think they wanna do what Barstool does and have video podcast every day like “Pardon My Take”

I guess I have seen or heard the last of them if thats what they will be doing. Cole Cubelic is better than all of them when they are just talking football. But, the Roundtable guys are, or were better at just filling in time.

I don't know what their specific situation is/was, but I think the money is drying up in traditional radio. I've heard Rick & Bubba mention this year that they are in a contract negotiation year (I assume with the company that syndicates their show), and they have seemingly indicated that they aren't expecting to get another big, lucrative contract like they've gotten in the past. R&B have really put a lot of emphasis on expanding their digital presence in the last few years, probably in part because they see the way things are going with traditional radio.

McElroy is no longer going to do the Sirius XM morning show.
But, I can't see him downgrade to a Birmingham show.

Roundtable was what kept me listening to JOX. I like 3 Man Front as a solid lunch time show but not drive time. Losing RT is a blow to 94.5 but this is the route sports talk radio is going.

They need to keep McClearin and Roberts together, I think Pat Smith and Cole Cubelic have better chemistry. Whatever you do keep Landrum and Cole on different shows. Whatever tension they have makes for bad radio. I particularly am liking the McRoberts duo this week. I think the McElroy/Cubelic duo could work, they need someone else who can go toe to toe with Cubelic for analysis.

McElroy and Cubelic is a big get. Potential to be the best show since....The Roundtable.
Excited to see the Roundtable guys move to the podcast realm. They have the talent to blow up.

I’m not really a fan of the new Jox lineup. Unlike most, I don’t care for Matt McClearin.
