The government of the state of Alabama believes that a 12 year old girl who is brutally raped by her stepfather, is impregnated as a result, and becomes aware of her condition within weeks of the incident should be forced to carry that pregnancy to term even if the ordeal renders her mentally unstable and suicidal. My opinion on the matter is frick anyone who voted for, or supports that legislation in any way.

Less than two percent of abortions are from rape/incest or threaten the health of the mother. Plus the law was written the way it was so it would make it to the Supreme Court.

And I'm pretty sure getting raped by a stepfather would lead to mental issues whether it caused a pregnancy or not. Pretty ridiculous argument, IMO.

Doesn't mean you have to double down on it.

Why are we obsessing on the one tenth of one percent of abortions involving rape on incest? Most abortions are a matter of convenience and irresponsibility.

From a biblical stand point, life begins at conception. Leviticus 17:11 states that life is in the blood

The Old Testament says life doesn't hold a value until 1 month after birth, and that causing a miscarriage to a pregnant woman is not the same as killing a person, but rather treats it like destruction of property.

Probably not the best reference material for the anti-abortion crowd.

surely you jest. I doubt there is another state in the union that is more likely to vote according to the religion of the residents.

Alabama still allows for rapists to sue for parental rights.

That's not Christian. That's being pro-rapist.

A lot of production companies like Disney are saying they won’t film movies in Georgia anymore because of their new abortion law too.

Actually, what Disney said is that because they anticipate most of their production crews will have issues with filming there they cannot realistically keep filming there. Their crews will turn away.

Laws like these lead to brain drains and skill drains from states.

What's not to like about letting a baby live?
