Don't want to get into an abortion debate, just mainly talking about the strictness of this law.
Even a lot of high ranking republicans seem to be strongly against it.
Strongly dislike it personally, think it's too strict, and it makes the state look really bad on a national level.

I heard one ex police officer Missouri politician on TV justifying it saying that most of his 100 rape cases were consensual rape? What the hell is consensual rape? Never heard that one before.

I like the law as it stands. A child should not give it's live for it's father's crime.

This thread wasn't meant to attack other people's opinions but to give your own opinion.
I assume you think it's too strict.

1000% against. Worst thing this state has done since at least the civil rights era.
It will be devastating to this state in the small chance that it is allowed to stand.
I used to respect Clyde Chambliss.

The mother goes through the birthing process regardless.

The government of the state of Alabama believes that a 12 year old girl who is brutally raped by her stepfather, is impregnated as a result, and becomes aware of her condition within weeks of the incident should be forced to carry that pregnancy to term even if the ordeal renders her mentally unstable and suicidal. My opinion on the matter is frick anyone who voted for, or supports that legislation in any way.

Missouri is known for consensual rape.

Again, the birthing process will occur regardless. The options are giving birth to a live baby or a dead one. Some of y'all need to educate yourselves on abortion.

This wasn't meant to be an abortion debate thread.
He gave his opinion on the law, he is entitled to it.
