Yeah he did have a bad tournament. But the media scrutiny had been coming hard well before then.

I actually think going up against some these mid majors hurt him. He seems to struggle against smaller guys guarding him because of his high dribble.

He was playing well in the heart of it. He just had no jump shot today. His ball handling has always been a weakness and got pick pocketed a few times. And when he did beat someone there was always a guy down low. Any time it got kicked out it was a guaranteed miss. So no wins

Make no mistake. Plenty of blame to go around for this letdown on our team.

Having said that, screw Carol Robinson, Joe Goodman, and every a-hole at AL.com. They perpetuated a falsehood that clearly affected us.

IMO, his primary issue was his physical injury. He played outstanding after the uproar but before the injury in the SEC Tournament championship game. Though the injury was not crippling, allowing him to at least be adequate in other aspects of his game, it does not take nearly as much to affect one's shot. Shooting a basketball with the precision it takes to be successful at this level, requires the legs (including the groin area) also. The guess would be that he was greatly affected by that injury no matter how slight it was.
