My posting career started when I was probably about 12 years old and i'll be 31 next month 
Oddly enough I got started on a forum that isn't much different than this one. I found it when I was trying to make a custom cover for NCAA 2003 on photoshop, and found a forum that was actually sort of dedicated to the game, but it had other boards within the forum for general CFB and more sports discussion. That place was called utopiafootball. From there I started a bamamag account back when the scout boards were pretty decent, and eventually migrated over to tidesports during the shula years. It's funny how that board had a bit of a "rivalry" with tigerdroppings and now we're all here. I posted on tidefans briefly in my tidesports days, but even as a teenager I disliked how it was run like the third reich.
Anybody know if the old poster TPlaw from tidesports might post here? She friended me on myspace, but I obviously don't have access to that anymore

Yep, had to write an apology to get back in graces of the old man. I said screw that. Waited a few years and then played dumb, asked why I couldn’t post. They couldn’t remember.
FYI, got banned for joking about Ditka coming to coach the Tide during the search when we found Saban. Utter bullshite on that site.

Who remembers AlabamaIntel? It sprouted when Scout Forums became pay only I believe. Then they started charging I think.

I don't know about that but Tidefans used to be BamaNation like 20 years ago. I still have an account there but haven't posted much in years, but as far as I know it has never been a pay site, so kind of doubt they bought any other site. When it was BamaNation there were links to at least a dozen other Alabama fan sites. Lady in Red is one that I am pretty sure still exists. Most, I know, are long gone.

My father-in-law was much the same way. He'd give up on the game by the lost coin toss outwardly. A bit annoying to be around but it is what it is... or what it was... God bless his soul.

It's been a wild ride. Personally, I find myself losing interest in the forums. I'm not sure if they've gotten worse, or if I'm just finally outgrowing them. The fallout from the last iron bowl left me pretty disgusted with our online fans.
