Hate that he couldn't go today and I have been looking for him to breakout all year. The thing is though, it hasn't happened. He is the definition of elite athlete and has prototypical measurables for a pass rushing OLB/DE hybrid. With that said, he just doesn't look to be in the mold of a collegiate Tim Williams or even a Ryan Anderson. Mike Mayock I think it was him said during the Duke game that he was top 2 at his position and a possible top 15 pick in the next NFL draft. I just don't see it. Maybe it's a lack of live game experience or maybe he lacks instincts or something. I definitely see his potential in spurts but he is far from a guy that will take a game over or drastically alter the offensive play calling because he is too disruptive.

Please don't take this as me really down grading or putting him down because I'm not. This is strictly a personal opinion based on my amateur and often shitty observation thus far. I don't think he sucks by no means and I am glad to have him. I hope he puts together a strong year and goes on to make lots of money. I just don't think he lives up to the hype and I don't think he will moving forward. Now let me have it, I guess I have it coming.

I've heard rumblings that he only wants to play when he wants to.

Could be bullshite.

He has shown flashes. I think that the knee injury has taken its toll mentally as well. Plus, he was injured during the USC game. Give him time, and he will return to mold.

Terrell is legit. But, the expectations for him by Bama fans is that he should be a Derrick Thomas-esque player and those guys are once a century type of talents. Yeah, once a century. The meat of the schedule is starting and I believe you will see Terrell play well.

I’m calling bullshite on that. I think people would be thrilled if he were even as disruptive as Ryan Anderson or Courtney Upshaw. I haven’t seen a single person suggest he should be performing like Derrick Thomas.

Both of those guys had more game experience by the time they became stars.

Surely you don't believe that. Like I said, for the hype plus his God given potential, we just expect him to be more like Ryan Anderson and maybe close to a Tim Williams on a good day. Any of us fortunate enough to have seen Derrick Thomas play knew then that we probably would never see that again ever. I even feel bad for questioning Lewis. It's just that his play doesn't live up to his potential or hype.

Yep and that could be the reason his play hasn't elevated to the level those guys played at. A perfectly reasonable excuse to his falling short of expectations. I am still a fan of his and I hope he makes me eat my words like Quinnen Williams did last year.

And neither was even close to the same level as Derrick Thomas.

The following it not at you specifically, Phalange de Oro:

According to 75% of this board, so has everything else (except Tua and WR's).

Meanwhile, we're outclassing everything we touch.

I've just decided to support whatever we put on the field - good or bad. Being overly-judgemental just seems like the way to waste the enjoyment of a dynasty. Oh, the stories I'll tell if I live to be an old man about the way some fans acted round these times.

Saban said he hyper-extended his knee against USCe last week and alluded to him having a procedure done this week to accelerate the healing process.

Had 1 sack against UGA 2 years ago and it summoned all this hype around him.

He has done nothing but stay banged up. Not knocking him, but he has not proved anything other than an inability to stay healthy.

I would absolutely love for him to produce this year, but I'm at the point where my expectations are low...

He’s a actually been very disruptive. Just hasn’t gotten the sacks and also he really hasn’t rushed too many times. Think the team is still easing him back

And yet he will still be taken high in the draft because he does have the right measurables, and juuuust enough highlights to make some GM salivate over potential.

He won't at the rate he's going, being injury prone and having no stats doesn't get you drafted.

I really hope that's true but right now it simply isn't. He won't be a first or maybe not even a second round draft pick if his play is consistent with what we have see thus far. Plus, he is extremely prone to injury. It's just the truth.

His measurables and potential will get him drafted. Unless he ends up with a 10+ sack season there's no way a GM uses a top 100 pick on a guy who is made of glass.
