This might not be a good topic, but I’m sorry. I felt I needed to start it

This week,I lost an 8 or 9 year Navy veteran to suicide. He joined the military before he had even finished high school. He served his time and then enlisted again. He basically spent the 90’s in the military.

While he was he in the military, he hurt his back. He kept working until his “retirement “.

After he “retired “. He was basically forgotten about. He was the IT guy over a . Bunch of hospitals, but he hurt like hell everyday. He hurt when he went to work, he hurt when, we all had drinks, he hurt when he tried to sleep. Finally, last week, my friend couldn’t take it any longer and went out beside a tree, and shot himself. He did t want to make a mess for anyone. He didn’t want to make any trouble for his family, (he called the cops,on himself). This can be deleted. I just want the veterans to get the respect they deserve

Mistaken might actually know him, since he is a hospital guy.

I’m sorry for your loss Cobra.

Suicide happens too often. I don’t know if his issues could have been helped but most folks issues can be if we just check in on them. You never know what people are dealing with.

I agree in supporting veterans, but we need to speak up and try to dissuade as many people from joining the military as possible.

The regime that controls this country is not fighting for our best interest, and too many great Americans have died in vain overseas.

If there's ever a war worth fighting in, there won't be any need for a draft - every man will gladly volunteer.

Not sure how many “peaceful protesters “ and green haired people will volunteer
