I was referring to the stuff in my conversation with old timers this morning and the conversation I had with Boz just after lunch. The behind the scenes conversations about loss of control of the team by the coaches and the cancer within the players.

Wow! Thanks for a peek behind the curtain. I knew something was wrong. This implosion makes it all make sense

It's time for Milroe's sorry arse to be sent packing, and any of his followers in the locker room can hit the door with him.
He is the cancer on this team.
Another weird thing I've noticed is there seems to be a fraternity that a lot of players are in. I saw an Instagram photo that I can't seem to find now. It's called Psi Phi something or another.
Anyway, It seems like it's a black fraternity because everyone is wearing Juneteenth Tshirts with the black power fist on it, and all of the White players are wearing them too.
I just find it strange to see White players having to participate in black identity politics in order to fit in.
This goes hand in hand with the BLM marches.
It's fine to wish politics didn't matter, but they do, and it's clear that our locker room is DEEPLY engaged with black identity politics.
Not sure if this is a part of the "cancer" but I don't think the locker room should be engaged in racial politics, and because the team and staff is mostly Black, White people can't say anything. They just have to kneel and hold up the fist for black power. Idk how you fix this tbh

Two things:
1) It's the world we live in. Everything is soooooo divided
2) You are within a hair of either having this thread locked or being put on suspension for continuing this theme that Boz has said must stop.

This is a sports board. I agree we shouldn't be talking about BLM and Juneteenth and Black supremacy politics, but Milroe and others have brought this shite into the locker room so now it's something we have to talk about.
I'm not getting into a poltical debate. I'm just stating the fact that our locker room is deeply involved in black identity politics, and I don't think that's a good thing. It's inherently divisive.

The fraternity has been there for a very long time. It has nothing to do with Milroe. Nothing burger, move on.

So we put things to a “team vote” now ala LSU?…awesome

My comments weren't a shot... not even a warning. I have no power here. So if you want to lock the thread or get suspended, it is your right

That frat has been around for a while. Lots of prior players including Saban's best most disciplined teams had plenty of members of that frat in there. There's plenty of members of that frat on other teams that are doing just fine and not being cancers in the locker room.
The issue with this team is bunch of overly confident guys that look ill prepared every game. Some of them are causing issues in the locker room

Do y’all think NIL caused this mentality? I just don’t want to lose some of these good young guys that have truly been playing hard, I know they aren’t always in the right spots but you can see the grit.

I find it difficult to wrap my head around the fact that there are players who care more about Milroe being the starting QB than they do about winning. If he plays poorly again Saturday, he has to be benched - the staff can't let him hold this entire program hostage. As another poster said, Eli Holstein proves we have other guys worthy of starting.

"An evil man will burn his own nation to the ground to rule over the ashes."

They may not be evil, but some folks love power more than anything else. If they believe they are going to have NFL careers no matter what I guess some low character, weak-minded folks might fall for such.

Yes and you saw it in the Vandy game. Milroe scores a TD and Alabama is still losing but he is dancing like a fool in the end zone like he just won the Super Bowl. We were still freaking losing but he did not seemed concerned.
This will be issue for every coach now going forward.

I think players like RW and company see what we have coming in and what is leaving. I can not imagine any WR not excited about KR joining the team this spring.
The only concern you have is if the locker room becomes so toxic that players just do not want to be a part of all the drama. That will be on the staff to set things straight. Even if it means telling players their time on the team is done. Like others have mentioned I could care less how we finish if we can set this team up on the right path for next fall.

We can win right now with the backups. Every game will go down to the end but I would be willing to bet the backups won’t quit or half arse it. Probably not win at LSU but get it started this Saturday and finish the season strong.

Agree with this^^^^^^^ X 1 billion. Need to show the cancers the door and those that agree with them. I don't care if we end up having to start a number of walk ons in their place the rest of the season and get beat badly if it means we only have guys who want to be here and are coachable.

These staffs know how to deal with transition. KDB , I am sure has had to deal with this at Fresno, at Washington, and now at Bama. He came in at a terrible time of year , following the GOAT coach, so yea they had to keep things together or risk having 40-;5 players on the roster . The people that sign with Bama now , want to be there and play for him. We don’t need meddling boosters, former players, etc acting like they know what is best for the team. Nobody and I mean nobody knows what goes on day to day or what’s best . Just let the man and Byrne do their damn jobs . If someone is a major problem , I feel confident they won’t be here next year .RTR
ETA - that’s the kind of shite that runs coaches away

I think these guys view themselves as huge successes even though none of them have won a championship which is "the standard".
It probably doesn't mean anything, but I saw a video this summer inside the facility & I noticed Tim Keenan, Ryan Williams, & some others working out in the indoor field trying to improve while Milroe, Booker, & Campbell were in street clothes doing nothing. It just seemed off to me that the other players were there to work while the other 3 were there to make a video.
If it's true Milroe is there more than anyone, what is he actually doing all day? Why has he not improved if he's putting in all this work?

I’m going to throw out something that I couldn’t help but think when I saw this team tank the last 3 games that nobody has mentioned. The cancer leader at least, doesn’t give a shite about anything that doesn’t benefit him. In the long run, shitty performance on the field hurts anyone with NFL aspirations. So ask yourself how #4 and company playing this way, missing wide-open receivers and ignoring wide-open, running lanes benefits any of them. The only way I could think of that this benefits them is if they are getting paid to tank games, a.k.a. points shaving.
It’s an ugly, shameful thing to mention being even suspected at our beloved school and for that I apologize and repeat that I have no knowledge or evidence this is occurring. But if you follow the money and connect the dots, it is at least a possibility . And unfortunately, we can’t say things like this don’t happen at Bama. Look at our former baseball coach for an example.
This group of players is probably just being stupid but the play against UTk was so abysmal and glaringly intentional, you start looking for reasons for it. Hell, if we get Robbie Ashford level of QB performance in Knoxville, we walk out of there smoking cigars. #4 had to work hard to blow that game. Monetary reward would seem like a logical reason for it.
Flame away, I asked for it by broaching the subject but I felt like it at least needed to be mentioned so that maybe it can at least be debunked.
