Alabama, when Kirby was the DC, had big problems with qbs that had elite athleticism. Cam, Tebow, and Manziel come to mind.

I'd love to see Milroe have one of those games this weekend.

Unbelievable we struggled with some of the greatest QBs in sec history. All 3 win Heisman trophies.

Sounds like a plan

I think Jalen is kind of the "X" factor in t his game. It's really, really hard for a team to prepare for Jalen. I do think for Bama to win this, Jalen is going to have to take off running at times. There were times last Saturday that he had plenty of yards in front of him and he chose to pull up and try to pass the ball.

Not saying I hope Jalen runs at the drop of a hat but the dude is so fast, he can cover a LOT of ground running.

Well, "pull up, go backward to cross the los again, then try to pass the ball".

I'm hopeful, he understands this better.

Don't get me wrong, no one wants more to see Jalen zip a 40 yarder to a receiver when defenders have loosened up coverage to chase the qb... all for Jalen to have had that one foot behind the line.

*Everyone* has issues with athletic QBs who can throw.

That's like saying in basketball, "he's good on defense, but struggles to guard 6-10 guys that can jump, run, shoot, steal, rebound, have good endurance, and play smart".

Kirby is worried about Milroe, I am sure of it. We have to make sure Kirby doesn't confuse him and put him in positions to make poor decisions.
