I'm at a loss how some people think they know we don't have either of those after watching BoB draw up the plays for them. My guess is we'd have a lot more "day 1" WR's on the field if Sark was still calling the plays, and they'd have the same names on their jerseys that they have now. The longer BoB is here, the worse our highly rated WR recruits will look.

The rest of the game is D&D Roulette from BoB's play sheet. There appears to be very little play stacking in the way he calls a game.

Really good point. The hardest part of being an OC in my mind is having the right script early to be able to build off of for the rest of the game. BoB definitely isnt at the top of the list when it comes to in game playcalling, but the list of guys who are current OC's and are great at in game playcalling isnt very long. You cant compare every OC we have to Kiffin or Sark.. because those are the guys at the top of the list and that's why they're the HC and not still an OC.

I dont visit this board too often, so this may have already been discussed. I'm assuming you are an OC or HC somewhere winning state or national titles every year because man you act like you can strike up the band with every call you would make!

So I can tell the difference between Bob and Sark. Can you? Which one would you rather have? I rest my case.

Can you tell the difference between Jamo/Metch and Burton/Brooks ?

How about Landon Dickerson and Darrian Dalcourt ? Do you see a difference ?

How about Jedrick Wills, Alex Leatherwood, Landon Dickerson, Cornbread, and Evan Neal vs whoever plays on the Bama OL today ?

Can you tell me the difference ? Lol

I sure can...imagine our oline getting beat by an inferior dline over and over again year after year.

Now imagine the Texas oline which is supposed to be much inferior to our dline not having a problem with our dline. Oh wait you don't have to imagine it happened. Sark helps his players out, Bob does not. Also lol

Like I said in my other post. BoB is not Sark, if he was he still wouldn't be the OC at Alabama because he would be the HC somewhere.

You do remember Dickerson went down in the SEC championship game and we still put up 31 and 52 in the playoffs with Chris Owens at center. We lost Waddle half way through the year and the offense got better. Our leading receiver options in the NC game for half of it was Slade Bolden and Xavier Williams. Sark overcame all that and scored 52 still. A good OC will make things work with what he has. If you think every 4 and 5 star lineman and receiver we’ve recruited just sucks then I have some ocean front property I’d like to sell you in Arizona. The players need to execute but they need to be put in position to succeed

They probably don't want to answer that honestly.

Burton is probably at best a Day 3 pick. Dalcourt won't be drafted. LOL.
Remember, we had guys telling us here on this forum Slade Bolden would probably be drafted.

What we need … is a coordinator which makes a gameplan that attacks our opponents weakness and uses creative ways to creat mismatches to keep them unbalanced.
Exactly. I understand that Saban would likely prefer to have some consistency with regards to his staff, but retaining BoB when he’s clearly in over his head isn’t reasonable anymore.

It’s probable that BoB *could* get better, but there’s no evidence that he is. We all tend to groan about coaching turnover, but that’s one area where I will gladly accept it.

If I had to guess, I imagine that there was a conversation (or a few) with BY about having a OC/QB coach for his two years as the starter that would prep him for the NFL. Saban would not pull that stability and prep commitment to Young unless he had to do it.

People said worse about Jameson last season before Bryce just started heaving deep balls to him.

Burton not even in the same zip code as Jameson. For someone that claims to know more about football than Nick Saban you sure do sound stupid a lot.

Bryce hitting Jamo in stride on slants so accurately that he never had to break stride leading to TD's isn't "heaving" ... you're a sad little shite taking shots at Bryce Young for no reason.

People like you don't deserve Nick Saban or the program he built at Bama.

If any Nebraska fans are reading this, I'm sure Bill will be a fantastic head coach, especially at Nebraska. We just don't like his coordinating. He needs a bigger duty.
