Yea I'm certainly not panicking (wouldn't and won't when he does retire anyway), but I did think it was a little bit eye raising. And like Capstone said, 90% of that is because of who wrote it.

it might not be the worst time. Kirby’s not going to let up

We heard the same arguments with Stallings and Spurrier (instead of Kirby). Where did that lead?

I doubt Dabo would have a problem taking over for 10 million, this roster, and Tua at QB.

As noted above, I doubt Saban is going anywhere right now, but as to the comments I see that Dabo is dug in at Clemson now and wouldn't leave, I'm pretty sure he would like to prove he can do it again, let alone that it's coming home, and home is a place he can win more games and titles than anywhere in the college football playing world.

He might be ready to sit by the lake and watch the ducks shite in the yard then, because that challenge will present itself in any business or athletics venture

There's nothing in that article suggesting Saban is considering moving on.

I took the article as if he's up for new challenge of keeping the program on the top for years to come. He's not going anywhere anytime soon. I think Saban is more hunger than ever.

I mean where would he go? To reboot some team in the shitter like Bama in 2006? Really? The NFL? C'mon Saban is not an NFL coach

Remember Franchione's last game at Alabama? Some folks say he basically threw that Auburn game so Alabama fans wouldn't be too p.oed when he split to hold that rope at Texas A&M.

I'm friends with Evan Mathis' family and Evan said that Fran was not at a single practice that week and the players and coaches all knew what was coming in terms of him leaving.

Admittedly, Cecil was apparently drunk and waxing a bit poetic when he wrote the article, but I think a lot of us didn't do well on the reading comprehension portion of the ACT.

And he was still telling players on the plane back from Hawaii that he was staying.

My great uncle used to hunt with one of those OL (it may have been Mathis) and told us that basically we installed no specific gameplan for Auburn. The entire week of practice was like a spring practice week.

Forever hate Fran for that.

Nick is going to have to Re-Model his staff after this season for sure. I expect him to coach 3 more after this year if he has good health. It's possible Bama will become the Hunter instead of the Hunted.

Dabo would take it in a heartbeat.. for the right money.

But would we want him? One of our fellow board members posted that Dabo was not right for the job because of the grass stunt he pulled... where he spread grass over the field. This may very well be some form of black magic.

Maybe we should consult with Walter Lewis before we jump at Dabo. We also would need to get assurances from him that he maintain our quarterbackless style of play.

He GONE! Saban steps down if he wins tonight. Sits out a year and takes over at Michigan after Harbaugh is fired.

I didn’t post it! I’m referencing someone else’s post! He implied there was something down right unchristian about Dabo’s grass ritual.

Damn you people are illiterate.

I think you guys are reading way more into it than what is said.

He's talking about each season having it's own challenges and that the success of yesterday doesn't matter.
