Oh I get it, but obviously the pressure along with the other things also contributed. I’m just saying, it’s not all just penalties and QB.

Saban allowed his fear of replacing coordinators to turn him soft. 7 years ago, he wouldn’t have put up with half the shite he does now. He’d have thrown headsets and chewed everybody’s arse in sight- including the ball boy.

You can’t yell at kids these days. They’re soft and will threaten to transfer. Blame society. Not Saban.

That’s become a convenient excuse.

But, I don’t buy it.

Rolando McClain would have that defensive line in tears if he were out there at MLB.

Run rpo with milroe.

I don't think you people who keep saying this understand how the RPO works. Milroe would have to read the defense at a glance and make a split section decision on every snap. He would need to be accurate on intermediate and often contested passes. Based on what we've seen from him, does that sound like it plays to his strengths?

An offense that actually plays to Milroe would recognize that he has only two abilities - a semi-reliable deep ball and scrambling. Best fit would be a rudimentary read option offense where he has basically two plays and one thing to look at per play.

Play one: read option. If the DE attacks, pull the ball back and run yourself. If the DE waits on you, hand it to the running back.

Play two: deep pass. Look for your first progression and count to three - if he is covered at all, just run.

Texas was able to pressure Milroe because they believed he wouldn't make the reads and get the WRs the ball. They were right. You don't understand how a pass deficient QB allows a defense to create more pressure.

Your point would be valid if Texas wasn’t getting pressure with 3 and 4 rushers all night.
Milroe did not play well last night but he’s not our 1st or 2nd worst problems. The oline being unable to pass block for more than 2 seconds is the worst problem and the defense getting no pressure at all in big games is our second problem. Unfortunately the online has been a problem for 4 out of the last 5 years(2020 they were solid) and the pass rush in big games has been a problem for 7 years now.

You don’t understand RPO at all. It’s a one read offense where you send a guy deep on a flag, post or fly on every single play. Nick Marshall is a moron and he ran it just fine. Milroe would run the hell out of it because it’s an extremely easy offense for a very athletic QB. It also prevents the QB spy because you have to keep a safety over the top all game.

I hate to say this because it’s so overused these days but if you have an issue with Milroe starting at QB still you might be a touch racist. I’m not saying you hate black people but you probably have an issue with black QBs.

Your opinion(s) went out the window after this ridiculous statement.

Agreed 100% Kirby and Deion have no issue chewing their players out when they frick up.
If a player is too soft for an arse chewing he doesn’t belong at Bama.

Stop taking the post out of context. It was in a thread started by a guy bashing Milroe’s play in the MTSU game. It was in response to a particularly bad faith poster. Anyone who claimed his play was shite after that game has a different agenda and I stand by what I said. I was only speaking to that poster.

I’m not defending his play from last night. The two picks were terrible. I however feel that with our current offensive talent Milroe is still the best option. Mac Jones is an NFL starter and a first round draft pick but he would’ve had to be scrapped off the grass if he was behind that terrible line play last night. That’s our biggest issue. I hope it can be fixed by replacing Dalcourt but I fear saban will refuse to do so and I’m starting to think Seth may be just as bad.

I think anyone who claimed Milroe’s play was shite after the MTSU game was probably vindicated last night.

He’s not a good QB when facing any semblance of competition from the opposing team, the evidence has been there all along and the people who have refused to see it are just not willing to embrace the reality of the truth.

Some of you guys just respond without reading don’t you?
I said guys were bashing his play in that game. He was lights out in that game. If you bashed his play IN THAT GAME you have a different agenda. Plain and simple.

I have no idea. Nothing you said was racist. Milroe played bad last night. Almost everyone on the offense played bad last night. You obviously can’t read though. I specifically said if you said he played poorly in the MTSU game. My post was in response to a person who said he played bad in that game. The only thing I regret is not calling that specific poster racist. I should’ve worded it differently.

I agree, he was playing lights out against MTSU. SO WHAT? It was a meaningless game against a nobody who can’t compete with Alabama. But he was still telegraphing where the ball was going, staring down receivers, and not able to escape the pocket consistently. He will probably play lights out against USF next game, another meaningless game, and still demonstrate the same tendencies that make him a terrible choice to be a QB at this level. After that it will be back to normal Milroe and we will lose to Ole Miss.

And when people point out his tendencies you will be on here accusing them of racism if they are critical. People aren’t racist because they tell the truth.

Come on man, do you really expect anyone to believe the same fan base that loved Hurts and loved Tua and loved countless other players are all of a sudden anti Milroe because of race?

Who is this racist poster? If you regret it just call them out now, don’t hide from it.
