The truth doesn’t fit their narrative so if they can’t double down on the lies (and open themselves up to legal problems), they will just ignore it. It’s sad.

Y’all are putting a ton of stock into a single story by a writer without access to all the evidence. You are doing the same thing the “hang Brandon Miller” crowd did the day his involvement went public.

It’s a bad plan.

The good plan is to wait until the actual evidence gets presented in court

I was pointing out insufficiencies in the evidence that was presented in court.

The standard is if there’s enough evidence to support a charge, not to convict. It is a very low bar.

Incompetent for sure, but I don't think it's intentional. It's just standard cop procedure. They assume the worst if they can prove someone lied to them.

Most Leo look at all the evidence then go from there. Including looking at all of the videos. Not having the passengers name in Miller's car is not standard procedure. If he is normally that incompetent I'm surprised he was assigned this high profile case.

Well aware. None of that has anything to do with the fact that several of the things testified to by the lead detective at the probable cause hearing are likely to present some major issues for the prosecution. The Humphrey girl being unable to corroborate some crucial parts of Johnson's story despite being present the entire time, the magazine for a firearm that was not recovered being located in the Jeep, and there apparently being no evidence to back up the theory that what Miles claims was a gun being passed from the front seat to the back seat was actually just food being some of them.

I originally thought Humphrey or Johnson brought up that theory, but lo and behold it was the officer? Since when do LE testify (I.e. speculate) on possible alternative actions. The officer was literally testifying on behalf of Johnson.

Apparently, there hasn’t been much effort to find out why Johnson was meeting with his friend Shu’bronte Green that night, and why Green has now disappeared. Green has a long criminal record including being arrested, around Jan 24, 25.

A lot more we don’t know and not much confidence in the folks investigating.

If the account in the article proves to be true, I think Davis and Miles have an excellent chance to plead self defense and be acquitted...especially if the first two or three shots were fired from inside the jeep. Tey were apparently being stalked by these guys.

And when they finally find the gun, don't be surprised when the girl's fingerprints are on it, proving that she got it out of the glove box.

I doubt they ever find that gun. That's probably why Johnson met with Shu'bronte Green, to have him dispose of the gun.

Some of the information in the Patch article appears to have legs. Seems as though the boyfriend has disappeared

quote:

On Thursday, Miles' attorneys filed an additional motion asking police to produce the cell phones of Cedric Johnson, Harris and Asia Humphrey, who were in Harris' Jeep at the time of the shooting. Johnson was Harris' boyfriend and is the father of their 5-year-old son. They were out with Harris' cousin Humphrey, a university student.

Johnson, who allegedly exchanged fire from inside the Jeep with Davis, did not appear at the initial hearing to testify.

"He's kind of AWOL," Robbins said. "He's the troublemaker."

Robbins has steadfastly maintained that the victim's boyfriend fired first, causing his client to act in self-defense.

The video has not been made public, in part due to the graphic nature of the shooting. But Robbins confirmed reports that it shows the Jeep circling the area after an initial verbal altercation, and pulled in behind the car of All-American forward Brandon Miller, where the shooting subsequently occurred.

This is the same force that decided their former Chief’s wife killed herself after finding her dead in the trunk of her car with TWO gunshot wounds to the BACK of her head. They’re just as stupid as they are crooked.
