With Vandy having the better offense, but worse defense.
Vandy does not have the better offense. Vanderbilt has played an FBS school, Virginia tech, South Carolina, Georgia State, and Utah State

Here are their scoring defenses

Virginia Tech 100th 28 ppg
South Carolina 37th 18.8 ppg
Georgia State 136th 48 ppg
Utah State 115th 30.4 ppg

South Carolina is the only decent defense they have played, and they likely scored a lot higher against them than they otherwise would have since sellers went down and south Carolina was hapless on offense. They still only scored 31 in that game

The South Carolina game was by far Pavias worst game, he was 18/25 for 177 2 tds 1 int, 11 for 24 yards rushing 2.2 ypc. If we can achieve that kind of stat line Saturday for him, we will annihilate them.

USCe also turned the ball over four times. That'll demoralize any defense.

I still go back to last year. 7-6, poor offense rank, poor defense rank. I'm told they've improved a little. Ok. Guess we will see.

According to SP+ they do, and it is adjusted for opponent.

I was not making a statement

SP also had our post game win percentage at 13.5 vs UGA which I disagree with now could we have score more and UGA scores more sure but 13.5 is crazy low and an almost all-time SP upset which that game was not. I think we are breaking the model somewhat because of the bad run game, no massive offensive explosives and giving up way too many explosive on Defense.

I do think our offense will go up and down the field on them, though.

Agreed. We’ll move the ball on them and should be able to score a lot of points. I think our defense is athletic enough to get some stops. Hold them to field goals rather than touchdowns

If I had $100 to bet on the Vandy game I'd bet $60 on Vandy to cover, $30 on the over, and $10 on Vandy straight up.

A fool and his money are soon parted

The over is probably not a bad bet though

I do think Vandy can move the ball on us however, I believe we will have more success than UGA in the ground game against their defense. Which then will help time of possession quite a bit more. If I am Grubb unless they just absolutely hand me a deep pass for a touchdown I make the drive as long as possible.

I wouldn't gamble money I don't mind losing and if I'm going to do that I'd rather bet so that either Bama wins or if they lose I make money on it. If I had to actually bet on the game out of pure reason I'd pick the over and that's it.
