We enter the fray again my friends. Another year of fun and drankin and cussin. I’m very excited about this team and I think it’s the most likable group we’ve had since maybe the final 4 run. Let’s give this season hell.

For the game song, I’ll give some old pals of mine from Texas a spin. Darkest Side of Houston’s Finest Day by Blue October

If anyone is near Tuscaloosa you should take Bryant up on this. He’s got good seats and this will be a fun game. I’d be there but I have a work thing until 5:30 and I’m 2 hours away.

My dad is looking at buying a house in Tuscaloosa now that he’s retired and that will make my game going experience a lot better than my current “drink two 5 hour energy shots and panic attack my way home down 82”

It is absolutely mind blowing that there isn't a total 4 lane highway going from the state capital to the state university.

ETA: Not related to the Montgomery-Tuscaloosa route, but they really need to get the ball rolling on the I-14 project.

I do my best to zone out and just notice the landmarks I’ve made in my mind. It’s my version of “don’t check your watch at work to make the time go by faster”

-Jupiter Inn
-Roll Tide BBQ place
-Gas Station that sucks but it’s the last bit of civilization
-Centreville/Jacks
-Close enough to Tuscaloosa that I can start getting excited and stop questioning the meaning of life or remembering embarrassing shite I said in the 4th grade to someone who is probably in prison now.
-Hell yeah game time

Yep and I doubt a lot of the good seats will be taken so these just get you in the door and then you move to the nice spots. I got offered really good seats for tonight so that’s why these are available

Probably the same as Auburn:

Allen
Samuels
Jemison
Felder
Davis-Fleming

Also think they'll be rotating even quicker than later in the season based on what Oats said about the bigs still getting in shape to play his style in longer stretches.

Amari
Qayden
Jemison
Fielder
Garrison

This is my projection. When Aden comes back he’ll be the starting 2 and I think when Cloer gets fully healthy and depending on matchups he could start a lot at the 3 and slide London to the 4. But we’ll see. Theres a lot of guys you feel very good about starting/playing so there will be a lot more matchup based changes this year.

And to answer your question from the other thread

Diaz is likely out tonight(elbow)
Cloer will probably play but still banged up

Holloway out for the first 2 games with a cough he picked up last year.

Never check the time or the miles to signs. Also if you work harder time passes quicker.

I would like to see us clean up the turnovers a bit, win the rebounding numbers by a sizeable margin, and shoot 3's at a 40% clip.
Having said that, this team will be a work in progress for a while, so I will remind myself to be patient.
