And he brings tens of millions a year to the university in prestige and out-of-state enrollment money, so frick all that !
PS...and the butts in the seats and the TV exposure is BECAUSE of what he's accomplished at the U of A!....wise up kid!

Why did you cut off the rest of the post?

Bama has never had a big problem with butts in seats or eyes on the tv, but Saban has improved that. He still gets paid millions of dollars because of the fans. If there is no fan interest no one gets paid. So, I stand by that he has every right to tell fans to kiss his arse and fans have every right to turn a critical eye on his coaching.

Kid? You can frick off with that. Notice I didn't make anything personal with you

Literally no one has suggested to get rid of him.

The whole point was he said people are right to criticize when we play bad is what he started out with.

I definitely don't think we should get rid of CNS. I'm ride or die with Saban but we ain't in a Cadillac anymore. We might be in a Jeep Wrangler. We're gonna hit bumps and feel them.

With that being said; We give so much control to Saban that when he doesn't perform we are going to feel it a lot more than if this organization worked in a de-centralized fashion.

That link actually makes me feel better. Saban acknowledging that we played poorly and understands why everyone is upset is refreshing. Much better than the “fans need to be happy that we at least won” comments from a year ago.

Alabama's out-of-state enrollment is now larger than its instate number, and the administration has linked it directly to the sustained national exposure of the wildly successful athletic program (football) since Saban's arrival.
Ride around campus and see all the new buildings, and the construction going right now!
Asses in seats, and TV money can't touch the monetary value that Saban has brought to the University, the town, and the state of Alabama.
PS- I used the term kid because your reply lacked a maturity usually associated with adults...sorry to have upset you.

That is patently false. Literally dozens if not more posters on the site have since Saturday night suggested that the game has passed him by and he needs to retire or be let go. Someone even started a thread saying it was time for him to head to the lake.

On the call, he said the QB must be able to process quickly.

Since Milroe can't process at all, much less quickly...I will assume we will see Buchner starting Saturday.

Funny as hell and now true !

The play where the center snapped it in the dirt, and Milroe had to bend all the way down to dig it out, popped up, stood in the pocket and found Niblack for a touchdown was some pretty damn quick processing.

Problem is he has trouble doing that consistently.

Again, don't create standards for everyone then get upset when people speak out on you not meeting your own standards that you created.
.....................................................
When's the last time you heard him completely castigate one of his players the way some so-called Tide fans are doing to him right now?....I didn't think so.

My comment was directed towards his comments to fans the last couple of years. Mainly the "self absorbed" fans rant he had in 2021. His entire mantra while at Alabama is Make Their arse Quit and when the fans started complaining that there hadn't been a lot of arse's quitting he tells us to just be happy with winning..

As to your post, he never throws a single player under the bus. Position groups sometimes but never a single player.

Now let me ask you this, when is the last time he came down on ANYONE in the past three years? He was constantly chewing Kiffin. He would routinely "coach up" players as they came off the field after missing an assignment. He use to always be in the refs ear. Even the media lash outs are few and far between. Everyone always points to the "Saban never comes down on players in a close game or loss". Which is true, but we haven't lost that many games. And there's been a lot of times where a player needed to be "coached up" but Saban stands there with his arms crossed.

I'm not saying he's washed up or needs to retire. Just pointing out that his fire isn't as hot as it use to be.
