Dude. Milroe did that against MTSU. I'm sure he could have done the same thing against South Florida - a team that, on paper, is supposed worse than Middle Tennessee.

Take away the picks and the racism and he is our guy.

I hope you get banned.

Not one damn person in this thread has said anything having to do with race and the support Bryce and Tua had to start over white QBs was unanimous. Because they were clearly better.

It’s not at all clear who is better between Milroe and Simpson and you are the racist so far as I can tell for trying to bring that into the equation.

I can't for the life of me get anyone to explain to me exactly why Ty Simpson won the job on Saturday like some people think he did

I did not think he won it at all. It kind of felt like he didn’t get a fair showing though. Coming into a game for your first meaningful snaps. where the offense was already struggling and the L wasn’t doing shite. Few short passes to establish a rhythm and constant pressure with an anemic running game is not a recipe for success. He had 9 pass attempts. Add 5 sacks and that means he had 14 called pass plays in 2+ quarters. For all those who say the OC did Milroe no favors (which I mostly agree with), he absolutely hamstrung Simpson. No quick, easy throws like he dialed up for Buchner. Add all that to watching Milroe struggle with basic reads and missing wide open guys the previous week, despite the fact that he is in his third year, and I can see why some want to give a highly recruited guy a chance to grow into the role.

QBR of 123.7 with all he had to deal with is not bad.

Milroe was tunneling like crazy against MTSU. He has always locked onto 1st target since film from last year.

Any thoughts that Milroe belongs in any type of Heisman talk, even as a hypothetical is absolutely crazy. I want the guy to do well as he is the QB of the team I love and die for, but the deficiencies are GLARING.

Herbstreit was calling for him to be benched on national tv and this dude thinks he’s winning a Heisman this year.

He was pretty much one read and locking on against MTSU. Both his picks form the UTx game were on plays we ran early vs MTSU as well. Long throws for he outside that he just let go immediately. There’s a reason Texas was ready for it.

Average with a high ceiling to grow into, deficiencies are much more fixable (holding the ball a bit long) than Milroe’s

We’re not saying he wowed us as the next Bryce. We just want a QB that isn’t a massive liability against an above average defense

Maybe you are right, but I saw nothing at all on Saturday to determine any of this.

Bookmarked. I’ll be sure to bring this back up in about 3 weeks when he’s getting serious Heisman buzz.

Don't get it wrong.... I want to see this. I really do. He gives 100%

Pretty sure the players now run the team and make the decisions. They let Saban know how it was going to be after their players only meeting.

How the Hell does this have more upvotes than downvotes? Absolute insanity.

Milroe’s biggest criticism coming out of MTSU was the lack of reads…

Texas quite literally stated in the postgame they ran a zone because they could just follow Milroe’s eyes. Ole Miss will likely do the exact same thing

Yeah I mean I think that most people aren't thrilled that this is where we are at, but here we are. I don't see any "Milroe lovers" on this board (except maybe one lol).

Maybe Simpson is just sandbagging the shite out of us, and despite his sucking in fall camp and looking mediocre against mighty USF, he's the answer. I suppose if it gets bad enough with Milroe we'll see Simpson again.

Why are we even talking about the starter at QB....

It doesn't matter who the starter is. This is not the real problem. Everyone focusing on the QB is missing the larger problem.

It's coaching enabling piss poor culture. It was the issue last year and it's the issue this year. Where is the accountability?

I'm going to have to listen to Saban's press conference. I'm not sure I'm buying this 100% as presented. I think we may be on our way to a 2 QB system.

Just watched the PC. Apparently they really think Milroe is the best option. I think we're fricked.

At this point, I'd be happy with the first step of hiring some hype boys.

We need some Coach O wild boyz energy or some Trooper Taylor towel waving.

I'm mocking the poster I responded to that accused the board of racism. You people are dense.
