Why do we keep labeling the guy that couldn’t beat out Tyler fricking Buchner as Mr. Consistency

Saban has got the whole college football world right where he wants them.

He's about unleash the Tebow/Cam Newton/Johnny Football clone 5.0 this Saturday.

Because through every viewing we’ve had, and it’s limited for all three, he hasn’t hit the DB in the numbers or thrown the ball straight into the dirt

I really wish Rees was on the sideline so he could do more "check with me" presnap action to help Milroe out.

Saban didn’t budge on a clear cut case where Jalen was hurting our chances to win and it was obvious to everyone. If he didn’t budge then, he certainly wouldn’t budge now

Saban said he thought about playing Tua in the CFP semi vs Clemson because he was lighting it up in practice, but didn't need to since they couldn't even score a TD against that 2017 defense. You're really not giving the greatest college coach to ever do it much credit.

Josh Pate says he believes Jalen was suspended.

Pate has a lot of connections in our locker room so it’s probably a fact. Yesterday was just to see who was the QB2 against an easy opponent.

Tua was the best freshmen QB ever at Bama. Hell he was great at A-Day as a 4 month arrival.

Having watched #8 at QB Saturday it is amazing that guy got on the field period. He is pathetic. His delivery of the ball is awful. Can't believe Nick signed him.

If he was suspended, why was he traveling with the team and fully dressed out on the sideline?

He also waited a full half to pull Jalen and left him in for the Auburn fiasco

I don’t think he’s free of criticism for his handling of that QB room. You can be a great coach and still make mistakes

Bill Belichick made a Defensive Coordinator his OC last year

Dude you and CPA are haters. Jalen is by far our best QB and we can absolutely win with him if they bench Dalcourt and Tommy pulls his head out of his arse and calls plays to fit his talent.

Man, the only thing we’re asking for is a game manager at worst that can protect the football and conduct an offense upfield

The line could play amazing, but if you’ve got a quarterback that can’t move past his first read and doesn’t know how to move in the pocket, we’re going to be eaten alive by any ranked team with a defensive staff worth a lick

Because Saban hates when the media knows the teams business?

He can clearly make the throws, but he was a statue out there. If you take away the throw to Dippre, there weren’t a lot of positives

Heck... There were people saying " this is Milroe's third start... give him time" but every one else gets a 1/2 of game before judgement?

I disagree with everything Uhoh says but Saban has a long history of playing upperclassmen who know the playbook over more talented underclassmen. My guess is Buchner looks good in scripted play calling against the defense at practice because he knows he’s not the number one and doesn’t push to make great plays. Simpson likely is constantly pushing to win the starting job and is making bad plays in practice. He also holds the ball way too long. You got to get rid of it or tuck it and run.

False. If the line plays amazing and keeps Jalen from having 30+ pressures we beat Texas by double digits. That’s with the two bad turnovers. A guy with Jalen’s athleticism should never be sacked 4 or more times in a game. The line was pitiful.

He had fall and spring camp to win the job, and he couldn't even beat out Buchner.

There's more going into this than just a 1/2 a game of play. The coaches have seen Simpson take 99% more snaps than any of us.

He has no feel for when to run. He moves into pressure and hunts the sidelines when he has yards ahead of him. It seems like the poor game Saturday has made people forget how bad the Texas game was.

why he would announce him as the starter and give Ole Miss the advantage to game plan for him?

Clearly none of our quarterbacks are hard to game plan for, so what difference does it make?

Not all INTs are the same. Some are the result of tipped/bobbled passes, some are the result of inaccurate throws, some are the result of bad decision making, and some are the result of the QB not seeing the defense.

The INTs that kill you are the ones where you don't see a guy at all. Tua's INT in the 2018 title game was one of those. It's where the QB sees the guy guarding the WR but doesn't see the guy waiting to pounce. That's what both of Milroe's INTs were. Those are hard to fix

The near INT in the end zone was more of poor decision. Running right and trying to throw left. That's a throw that a QB can fix. You just don't try that throw.

You can work around a guy that doesn't read defenses well by trying to put him in a position where he's not making many decisions once the ball is snapped.

Poor game lol... One guy plays Texas. The other guys can't move the ball against USF
