I know a lot of you don't think too highly of me after finding out what kind of person I was when my wife passed away a year ago. A lot of you doubted my story and I absolutely understand why you might feel that way. I am not the same man today that I was the last time I posted thanks in large part to some of you. I posted an update and thank you on the ot lounge if you are interested in my story. My wife really did pass away due to a blood clot to her lungs after knee surgery. It was also true that I was a piece of shite junkie.

Regardless, I would very much like to be a part of this community again if you guys are willing to accept me back.

God bless all of you and a big Roll Tide. Update and thank you post

Only thing that matters is that your life turned/turns around.

I gave to your fund ( only one I have ever given to bc I am technologically challenged ) in hopes that it would help a person in need out of a tough situation. There were concerns by many that the money would be used for things other than what was asked for . It seems the money was put to good use and I am happy that you have seemingly turned your life around. I am sure there will be tough days ahead but you can push through it . Once again , happy for you and as always

PS I know you live in Louisiana now but don’t get pulled in to the Tigers

We all have hard times - and everybody knows someone who struggled with painkillers, whether they are aware of that's person issues or not. I've had a lot of friends go though and I'm very glad to hear you are doing well.

You are of course welcome back and we are glad to have you.

Thank you very much for helping me brother. I assure you that every penny was transferred to my mother's bank and spent on funeral and rehab.

shite, I am a real Bama fan. Was ride or die with the tide since Bill Curry was coach. I went through the rough times and appreciate the run we are on. I don't hate LSU but could never switch sides. I will take in a game at tiger stadium next year though.

We all could grow our own medicine but the greedy government would rather push pills and profit.

If they really cared about people cigarettes would be illegal, but it is Profit before People in this sick world.

Glad you are overcoming your addiction to big pharma's pills

You gotta do a lot worse than having an addiction to get rid of us....now get in here and call someone a butthole so you can feel like part of the crew.

Also, glad you've turned the corner

Glad to hear from you. I donated and didn't rescind and wondered how you was doing. Sorry for the tough times and glad you've made progress.

Don't worry on the negative, some people will always look for the worse and try to bring you down even at the toughest times.

Hope you are doing well. Life is difficult, we just gotta buckle down and be stubborn. (Easier said than done, sometimes)

I've been on prescription opiates for nearly 10 years now. I understand this hell.

Im considering coming off, its just....the pain. Last time I came off, I started drinking heavily instead to deal with the pain, and thats an even worse road to go down day to day health-wise.

edit: also, frick withdrawals. its hell on earth for a month to month and a half. absolute hell.

Don't know the details to your situation... Not my business... I do remember reading many of your posts and you seem to be one of the more intellectually gifted people here...

Deepeat condolences regarding the loss of your wife.. I don't know your story or any of your shortcomings... Not my business and I NEVER judge because I have my issues... Everyone does...

That said, whatever the story, it takes a big person to humble themselves and create a thread such as this one... Especially when you're smarter than 98% of your audience (myself included)...

All that said, Roll Tide brother and God bless...
