We have to get better production from that position. Numerous times last night 71 was pushed into the backfield near the ball carrier. I think his issue is that he plays too high. I’m not sure if a substitution needs to happen but he’s the only liability on this starting o line.

Yeah Ferguson looked way better when he was in. He and Dalcourt should be swapped for the next game. Let those monsters gel together and the possibilities are endless.

Seems like we see this every year at least one position.

Yeah, Dalcourt has been on skates his entire career at Alabama. I’m sure he is a good kid, and he probably has a good football IQ, but he’s just not a good run blocker.

Hope Saban drops Dalcourt for Texas because they have some monster defensive linemen who would feast on hin

Got downvotes last week when I said he’s SOFT as baby shite.

He’s been that way his whole career. He must be smart and can make the right calls/block the right man. However, executing his job at the point of attack has been a struggle. This is another case of Saban being too loyal to a veteran. Hopefully there’s more rotation after film study, but don’t forget it basically took an injury for Saban to pull him in favor of Seth last year. I don’t get it.

I remember last year when Kendall Randolph started at guard against Texas and they had to replace him after halftime. Hopefully Wolford makes the change before kickoff even happens this season. Ferguson is a better player.

Ferguson is the guy, film will show them. If they don’t make that switch it’s on them.

How much of Dalcourt does the staff have to see to know he can't get it done on game day? He's a 5th year senior and has more starts than anyone else on the line and he STILL looks like a deer on ice. Time to move on and find someone who isn't a liability blocking. I'm sure Darrian is useful for calling the schemes, but damn! it doesn't matter if the scheme gets blown up under his nose every play.

Boz hopefully after last night they see it’s an issue. He was the only one not getting any push.

Dalcourt is only there at RG until Proctor figures it out, then Booker will go back to RG and Ferguson will go back to LG.

It’s been the same guy for the last 3 years. Saban just loves the turd.

Do you have any inside info on why Saban is so enamored by DD?

Gotcha. I still don’t get it though. Left and right matters at tackle a lot more than it does at guard because your kick step doesn’t have to be as deep. Ferguson should just go to RG now imho.
