Why do we think he's coming as analyst? Have I missed something?

Also Scott Payton alluded to "conditions" that Saban has put on both coordinator positions that impacted who took these jobs.

Also, Stephen Smith of TD Alabama magazine said his info is that Pruitt said he would only come to bama as an analyst if we got a DC he trusted, and that Pruitt specifically named Kevin Steele as an option.

I have a hard time believing Saban was dictated to by Pruitt about who he could hire as DC. Saban would just pass on Pruitt if that were the case.

If Pruitt and Saban had a talk about a DC I bet it was Saban asking what he,Pruitt thought of working with Steele. They are all three friends so there is that.

I figure Saban and Pruitt talked pretty candidly about the obstacles, options and timing for getting him hired as DC. I also think it's still the goal and that Steele is supportive of it.

Hate to link to Paul Finebaum’s Twitter, but Chase Goodbread was on Finebaum’s show today and said that he thinks Pruitt will be back at Alabama as soon as the NCAA issues get cleared up.
