Any chance we waiting on Izzo?
I really doubt that. It, would be the biggest coup in the history of CBB coaching hires IF that were to happen though.

Izzo isn't leaving Michigan State.

Yeah no way in hell Izzo leaves Michigan State to come to Alabama. It would be a waste of time to even talk to him....It just doesn't make sense at all from his perspective. He's got a good thing going there.

Cecil Hurt retweeted something from Avery Johnson, except it wasn't the coach Avery Johnson. Could be a hint but I doubt he knows anything.

Don't follow NBA much. However, that CotY Award for Mitchell looks like a fricking joke. CotYear .. . with .573 ? Why did he win? I know the Raptors are genuinely not a great team but c'mon.

Lucky posted a poll today asking who Bama fans want as a coach. He listed Tom Crean, Avery Johnson, Steve Prohm, Michael White, and other. When posters asked him why he didn't list Miller, he said that he doesn't think Miller is an option.

AJ is destroying everyone else in that poll.

ce1976 seems to be a pretty reliable poster on BOL for basketball. Here are some of his posts today:
So it begins... the greatest NIT run of our time.
quote:
poster a: Avery Johnson is not an option.
ce1976: Are you sure about this? I know he is interested and I think he was interviewed for the position.
quote:
poster b: Ummm... When's the PC then?
ce 1976: I don't know. I think there is a press conference coming but unfortunately I keep hearing it is going to be with Steve Prohm
quote:
ce1976: I don't know anything about a press conference being scheduled but I am hearing a lot of rumors that Prohm is going to get the job. I have nothing solid on that yet.
quote:
poster c: You hinted that Avery Johnson had been interviewed. Can you confirm if he has officially been passed over or is he still in the running?
ce1976: Trying to find out for sure.

Wow, I was onboard with Mike White. But, I'm willing to try avery johnson. I don't know how good a coach he is, but I'll bet he'll be a hell of a recruiter.
