Looking at those snap counts that guy screams "potential over production" to me.

I think we have our 5 starters on campus right now. Potential is a fine take for swing linemen.

I like this kid. Locates the ball well even though he isn't the tallest guy. Nifty in short spaces and seems to have very very good hands.
Only question is speed.

Gotta remember who he was behind on depth chart.

Who are your two guards as of now?

I think Sanders and one of the OTs will slide in Lloyd or Carroll.

Oregon transfer linebacker Blake Purchase is expected to arrive in Tuscaloosa later this evening for an official visit beginning on Friday, I am told by a source.
Purchase spent three seasons in Eugene. He saw action in 35 games during that time.
In 2025, Purchase recorded 32 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and an interception.
He played outside linebacker for the Ducks and is being recruited to play the Wolf position by Alabama.

No chance Carroll stayed if there's a chance of us moving him to OG.

Sanders and TBD. If we can sign Racin, I think Strayhorn might move to OG.

We do have three starter level candidates at tackle, all of whom have played guard in the past.
I agree that Carroll wouldn't have stuck around if he thought he was playing guard, but one of Haywood/Lloyd is moving, sitting or platooning.

Based on how our staff operates? I'd put my money on platooning

Glad Dear is coming back. I think that he will be good for us.

I was told everyone only cared about money.
You’re getting paid the same whether you’re guard or tackle and you have another year or 2 to play tackle if that’s your nfl goal.

They’ll both get to be on the field when Carroll is lined up in the Wildcat.
