Right, I am only saying if I’m having to choose between thieves then I’m choosing one who at least may do some thieving that benefits me by accident than one thieving only for themselves. More likely to do some thieving that helps the state if they’re a part of the state.

In the article you linked Britt said he wouldn't do any federal lobbying. Could he be lying? Sure.
So here's the summary of this awful, horrible, jaw dropping corruption:
Vulcan Materials operates in Mexico. A couple of years ago the Mexican government seized their property at gunpoint because they said VM was not operating legally. Vulcan Materials says that's illegal and wants the US government to back their claims. Wesley Britt works for a company that, among other things, lobbies for Vulcan Materials. So the idea is Wesley Britt is benefiting from his wife working to get restitution for Vulcan Materials losing their property in Mexico. I am supposed to be outraged by this. This is supposed to be Teapot Dome 2.0.

If those are my two GOP candidates I am going for Pearl but I think it will be a large GOP field. Same with the Dems

From 2007-2010 I helped lobby in DC for organized labor. Id rather not name the Union itself but it was a powerful organization in the energy sector at the time.
DC was pretty simple to figure out, it’s as cut and dry as it gets. It’s all about the dollars.
We had the big banquet at the Washington Hilton on capital hill and as a lobbyist you would invite the states congressman and senators to it but in most cases they would send their top aides and that’s who you dealt with most of the time.
Long story short. We had our agendas to secure work for the membership and besides just bullshitting about Bama or Auburn football just to break the ice and after several vodka and tonics, it was always back to the simple truth. How generous are you with your bank account. How bad do you want the senators support. Democrat or Republican it’s all about the dollars

The people in Washington who asked him to run obviously know nothing about Alabama. The Barn fans hate him as well as the Bama fans. He has no chance of winning. The guy is an idiot.

hired him after she won out of the goodness of their heart, despite it being against the senate code of conduct ethics rules. just a coincidence she’s rubber stamping everything they send her im sure.

Britt and her husband (former player) have been enriching themselves for decades. RINO/Deep staters like Shelby as are most of the vacuous and vapid politicians in our state. This should probably be moved to poli board or deleted. Sorry for adding to the madness. Just makes us mad.

Was originally awarded to Huntsville via an impartial review under Trump, then Biden moved it to Colorado for political reasons, and now Trump moved it back. I'm sure most of our Congressional delegation was pushing for that course correction.
