I don’t like this at all.

Yep. Here's a good article about how it attacks hemoglobin. Imo, everyone who can safely take it who tests positive should be promptly treated with hydroxychloroquine. The sooner the better.
I listened to a pissed off Doctor out of Missouri yesterday. He said for folks to start drinking tonic water with quinine and zinc for preventative measures. He said quinine does the same thing that hydroxychloroquine. He said if you get sick, you have to use much more quinine and zinc, and you can’t up the doses for long, but that it doesn’t take very long to get better

Stay safe up there, buddy. I appreciate everything you bring to the board.

The chiropractor video? If you're talking about that viral video, 1) chiropractors aren't doctors. Not even remotely close. 2) No offense, but the tonic water + zinc has been widely debunked. If it was remotely true, it'd be packaged and sold as preventative medicine for the seasonal flu.

South Haven Health and Rehabilitation says they began testing residents and employees as a proactive measure to contain the spread of the virus.
The nursing home says of the 17 residents who tested positive, only three showed no symptoms. As for the 19 employees, 13 showed no symptoms at the time of their diagnosis.

What do you call alternative medicine that works? Medicine.
If this water + zinc crap worked, it'd be bottled and sold by Bayer and Proctor & Gamble for $12 a bottle.
Drink whatever you want, but it won't make a hill of beans difference. And that goes for every other home concoction you can make. It does nothing. If it did, numerous companies would be selling it for profit.
Eat healthy, maybe take a multivitamin. After that, extra zinc or quinine will do nothing. You guys are taking basic benefits of a vitamin/mineral and declaring that MORE of it works wonders. It doesn't.
But don't let me get in the way of sharing misinformation. It is the national sport of the US, after all. Share away.

Yep. Quinine has been used to treat malaria successfully for decades and it only costs a few bucks overseas. I guess it doesn't work there but here in the US it's over $200, so it must be good shite.

I just don't want the supply of certain medicines depleted by the misinformed crazies, hurting those with lupus and other serious maladies.

You just can’t help but throw childish cheap shots at America. If you dislike it that much, drop your citizenship and represent your third world country.
That shite is getting old here, considering we have numerous people on this board who are serving this country and putting their lives on the line. Plenty of us have also had friends and family members that have lost their lives defending this country that you can’t shut up about.

I see my thread has gone off the rails the last couple of days.
How about a numbers update to get us back on track:
In Alabama:
2,721 cases, with 222 new ones today.
48 confirmed deaths, 72 reported deaths.
Nationwide:
458,445 cases, 23,518 new cases today.
16,312 deaths.

The Alabama Department of Health is providing real-time data on the number of coronavirus patients in Alabama, broken down by county.
What you won’t see from ADPH is the number of people who have recovered from the pandemic.
ADPH’s dashboard is tracking COVID-19 cases in Alabama – there are currently 2,603 – but the total is cumulative, meaning once a case is recorded it remains on the tracker, even if the person is no longer sick. Also missing from the board is the number of recovered patients.
“Data from ADPH indicated that, at this time, about 15 percent of COVID-19 cases in Alabama are hospitalized,” ADPH wrote. “This means the remaining patients are home. These patients are in various stages of their 14-day home quarantine, with some having already completed their home quarantine and others remaining at home.”
Due to staffing, ADPH said it is focusing on investigation of cases and contact tracing to reduce the spread of the virus.
“As the outbreak continues, we can look at how many patients have completed quarantine as a measure of recovery. However, recovery, or return to feeling well, takes longer in some patients than others,” ADPH said.
Alabama has had 333 total coronavirus hospitalizations out of 2,547 COVID-19 cases since March 13. Of those hospitalized, 153 were in the ICU and 101 were on a ventilator.
Why Alabama isn’t reporting numbers of recoveries

There’s about 22 states reporting recoveries. One of them is Michigan who’s has 5 so they’re really doing it and same can maybe be said about NJ has 92.
