One last gripe from me about Saban sticking with Hurts all year last season. Long.

Lost in all of the negatives of his bad decision regarding Tua is the effect of recruiting. Saban essentially helped Georgia sign that epic class last year and helped them get off to a better start this year. And of course it hurt our recruiting last class as well. Now before I go any further I realize that losing coaches every year hurt our recruiting too but we always have a high turnover because everyone wants a Saban coached coach but it never hurt us as bad as it did last year.

Had Saban split reps with Hurts early in the season then Tua would have won the team and become the starter by the Texas A&M game. We would have gone undefeated and beat the brakes off of Georgia in the SEC championship game eliminating them from the playoffs altogether. Now I realize that Georgia is easy to recruit to and would have signed a top 2 class anyway but we lost a couple of badly needed guys to them that would have signed with us because Kirby would have had less to sell. They may have lost one of two others to other schools as well. It is my opinion that their SEC title and strong playoff performance gave them the edge they needed to pull it off.

Now what's done is done and though it looks like I am crying over it I am not. I am just showing you guys the big picture. I know I am right just like I knew I was right telling you about Hurts last September when you called me stupid for suggesting Hurts wasn't s good quarterback.

We lost Justin Ross who was 6-4 receiver with speed because of it. He can't fix the damage from last year and if he finishes like I think we will our recruiting class will rival the one they signed last year or possibly be even better. I know most of you won't see the logic of what I am saying because of your crimson colored glasses that made you think so highly of Jalen despite poor performance right in front of your eyes.

Lastly, I know I am truly a pessimist to the extreme but I am also a positive thinker as well. I am pumped for the season and barring defensive injuries we are gonna frick the SEC. I would just like to remind you that when you down vote this post that you are down voting the post not the poster. When you disagree with my thoughts try to remember to attack the post and not the poster. I love the Bama program as much or more than any of you and have been a Tide Pride donor with two tickets for thirteen years. We are brothers in crimson and there are real people behind these keyboards with real feelings. Let's not attack posters because you don't like what they say. Salsa puts up with it but will ban you for speaking the truth about poor quarterback play.

Let the down votes commence.

Kirby is going to have UGA in the top 5 every year. Accept it now and avoid the rush later.

Lets hope #13 does improve going forward. We all hoped that #2 would have done the same but it APPEARS he is maxed out.

Duh. I know that. I am saying that his epic 5 star filled class last year was only that elite because they were a pass away from winning it all.

Serious Mods ban this guys thread making abilities.

We don't need a new thread for every emotional thought or turn his life takes for fricks sake.

But the thread is already kind of getting off his first point, which was valid. It's not really about UGA recruiting better, but the fact that the abomination of an offense with Hurts the last couple of years impacted even recruiting. It isn't just a coincidence that Alabama fell to #7 or around that, by those that judge such things.

I said even as early as the middle to end of the 2016 season that it would affect recruiting but was informed just how stupid that was and how wrong I was. Same as when I said early last year that Ridley and the receivers were frustrated. I was assured they were not. Then, as we were told, there was a near revolt by the receivers by the end of the year.

That recruiting and team morale is so important to Saban, and both have suffered under Hurts, is a reason I am fairly sure he will choose Tua rather than Hurts, in spite of the fact he's so conservative on offense.

Forgot about the early signing period but I am no troll and there you go with a personal attack against me. Uncalled for and shouldn't be allowed. We shouldn't eat our own around here. You were wrong for that and I ra'd.

So ban a guy just because you don't share his opinions? Wow.

If not for quarterback discussion this board would be nearly dead.

Has nothing to do with sharing his opinion and everything to do with the fact he is emotionally unbalanced and needs attention so he seeks it by repeatedly making volatile threads on this forum.

He goes off the reservation, then apologizes when his emotions balance out. Rinse and repeat.

If he can't control himself, the Mods should help him by taking the "drug" from his reach.

I agree with you that Bama goes 15-0 with Tua at QB last year. Ross likely commits to Bama after see Tua and his great passing ability.

Auburn might have a new coach now and Georgia wouldn't have made the playoffs. Bama would have won a 4th straight SEC Title and 4th straight Iron Bowl.

There were several younger players that should have started over older players that started last year. Foster, Sims, Jones, Womack, Cotton, Scarbrough and Hurts all started even though there were much better players behind them. Those players finally got their chance in the NCG and brought home a title.

Ystar, you can just ignore my posts if you don't want to read them but I have just as much right to voice my opinion here as you do. This was my last post about it and I may be completely wrong but it is the way I feel. Jeez guy, wanting me banned because you don't agree with message? Talk about fricked up.

Most forums are quicker to ban posters that personally attack other posters, than to ban those with unpopular opinions.

I'm not even sure why it's such an unpopular opinion. I thought by now even most of the diehard Hurts fans, and they were legion, had decided that Tua is a much better qb. I think opinions like the o.p. don't get so many people upset so much because of the facts of that opinion, but that we don't like to face the fact that Saban still pretends there is this qb competition and we might, in fact, be stuck with Hurts, and say goodbye to Tua. I don't think that's going to happen.

My glass is ALWAYS half empty so I fear that #13 doesn't show improvement going forward. Could he like #2 already maxed as a QB? I am hopeful that is NOT the case. BUT if they're both playing at their top level then Bama is still in pretty good shape to challenge any team we play.

I was wrong to ever apologise. I only did it because of the amount of hate spewed at me. I should have stuck to my guns because I knew I was right. This place is full of sunshine pumpers and those that that don't tow the line are outcasts like me. You guys treated me like shite all last season even though I was right from the beginning. Now some of you are telling me I am stupid for saying we don't have a true nose tackle or ILB depth. I just talk about truths that you guys just can't comprehend and I am tired of the personal attacks and if salsa doesn't do anything about it I am gonna take it to Lew. I dealt with it last year and I refuse to this year.
