Do you think they are interchangeable and can line up anywhere. All three can take the opponent’s best CBs?
Drinking the crimson koolaid is getting Jim Jones-ish on this forum quite a bit.

Yes. If you are at an elite conference SEC team, a starter and pretty much a guaranteed 1st round pick, you arent leaving for opportunity, you are leaving for $$$. I think there are some justifiable reasons to transfer like a legitimate bump in opportunity(moving up a division), an upperclassmen looking for a chance to get playing time, a family issue...things like this Leaving the team that you committed to, that gave you tremendous opportunity and spent resources developing you...just to chase money absolutely makes you low character. Only in 2020whatever do say its ok to forgo commitment for purely selfish reasons and this is perfectly ok.

With respect, those days are F OVAH

The player recruiting pool and their hand out parent is the problem. What you listed is no longer a factor.

I mean what’s the fun of winning if it is just because you spent more $$$ than everyone else? Seems hollow to me.

No but there is flexibility in any system with regard to receivers.

In our system Ced Morgan is the prototype for the position Horton is vacating.

If Grubb is smart he’ll flex Brooks into the slot and let Williams take over for Bernard.

Ideally the coaches would prefer at least two 6’2+ guys on the edges but our starters were the same size last year as Bernard was undersized and that was never an issue when Ty was healthy and accurate.

What we need is RW to get the drops figured out and I think you’ll understand why I’m not worried about backfilling for Horton when you see Morgan and factor in 6’6 Derek Meadows who was getting run before he got his bell rung badly late in the year.

Zero reason to freak out early in the portal window period at WR right now and anyone who expected to get Coleman wasn’t listening to any of the experts all of whom said he wasn’t coming here because we weren’t going to meet his asking price.

No I liked Jameson Williams selfishly. He didnt leave OSU to get a paycheck and he wasnt a starter there.

Thats said id take a world where Williams never transferred to Alabama and players had loyalty anyday over what we have now

Who have those schools signed that was a priority target for us so far?

Loyalty, commitment, dedication are timeless values that people are inherently drawn to. Selfishness, vanity, and disloyalty are things that are distasteful to people.

Yes the days are over...for a time. This isnt sustainable though. People WILL lose interest when you strip away everything they liked about the sport to begin with. It may be years...maybe decades...but it will come back

Sorry but I can't blame KDB and Morgan for not being willing or able to compete with this. The clearinghouse was supposed to curtail this blatant pay for play but it hasn't and we don't have that kind of money.

I agree. But if Indiana wins it all this year it's not because they spent the most. It's because the got groan arse men beating up on 19yr old blue chippers.

My read is we can afford the elite level HS kids but not the portal kids. So we reallly have to work on retaining players going forward and keeping them out of the portal. Only way we can compete in this new era
