@CecilHurt: Scary looking group. RT @AaronSuttles: Saban: All of our freshmen (D-Line) have possibility of contributing this season.

@AaronSuttles: Saban: We've got a long way to go (in the secondary).

They've been working on Liner keeping his arse down, but they've reported he's really quick off the snap.

Pair that with Robinson looking like a grown man out there, it wouldn't surprise me. Tomlinson is the only player who has locked down a reserve spot outside.

And at first while I was watching a video on the DL, I thought Rumph's nickname for Robinson was "Big Tits". It took me 2-3 more listens to realize he was saying "Big Tex"

#96 is apparently "Stone Cold", he's not listed on the roster.

I am excited though to see someone his size and stature with the speed and athletic ability he has

PERFECT fit at 5 tech and the first guy with size to be a true 2 gap attacker

I was so STOKED about signing

Fingers crossed that the front seven will get enough pressure to take some heat off of the secondary....

He was big, pun intended. With the pace Cristobal is recruiting OL, there is no future struggle over him in sight either.

He or Liner have a very good shot at being the runstopping rotational DE that they are looking for, even if in name only. They both look like good options as passrusher, but their only competition is at different positions(Fanning at TE, Orr back and forth at OLB). They may get it by a default of talent.

I don't think Jon Allen has enough size to be an end in our system yet. Not on running downs anyway.

Yeah I figure we put him there you give us more of a quick twitch, but I'm surprised he hasn't had at least one practice with the Jacks and Sams.

Doesn't Saban say that around this time of year every year?

Exactly! As a DB coach he always holds them to the highest standard. I think a lot of the issue with this group is Geno and LC not quite having their heads on right.

Yes. I don't take it seriously, he does it to not let them get complacent.

Herm is the anti-Saban. I see why he's brought in. He's mostly a rah rah, gotta play with heart, be out there for your brothers kinda guy. Saban talks about the process of making yourself better, breaking it down into almost a clinical, procedural kind of thing. They complement each other well.
