Both of the Washington starting guards are in the portal. This guy Julius Beulow is intriguing, played tackle in HS, wonder if there is any interest if he could fill in right tackle? Recruiting profile says he excelled in pass protection as a tackle and projects as RT. Dude is 6'8" 311, graduate transfer 6th year player

The other guard Nate Kalepo also was a tackle prospect, 6'6" 327

Posesses an optimal frame, with good length and size. Needs to develop as a run-blocker but is a stellar pass-blocker. Has good lateral quickness and uses his strength and size to seal off his defender. Still a bit raw, using his natural size to his advantage but as the competition level steps up, will need to use more technique and add strength to handle college pass-rushers. Ideally fits in as a right tackle. Projects as a multi-year Power 5 starter and second-day NFL draft pick.

Julius Beulow called DeBoer a snake when he left, so I'm not sure he's too interested in playing for him again.

Fantastic technique, keeps shoulders square and uses great leverage.
We had kids not doing any of that and seemed to lose all of this when BOB brought on Maroney.

I don't see how getting the opportunity to coach at Bama from Washington is being a snake. But I get he is mad about him leaving especially since they were so close to winning the NC.

Need to get him to 315 to be SEC ready. JK
We just got a god send people need to be excited about it.

It seems like DeBoer and his kids were 1000% bought in. They fell short and likely thought they would use that loss momentum into next season. It didn’t work out that way but I don’t blame DeBoer this is THE coaching job.

Washington fans are big mad. Note the comments in the PAC 12 highlights video. They are convinced that DeBoer will wreck Alabama football and that the house of cards is about to fall.

Washington fans don’t share the same opinion. I would like to share an image of their feelings but can’t copy and paste it.

So why are they mad about him leaving?

Their comments mirror what LSU fans were saying about Saban in 2007. He’s not loyal, doesn’t have SEC experience, the sharks are circling, Saban recruits are transferring out. I’m not saying that DeBoer is Saban but to act like he’s Gene Chizik is very ignorant.

I asked this question weeks ago and forgot to check where I posted it
But who at Bama manages the NIL for us? How does a value get put on a player. Does the player have to ask for it or do the coaches and NIL person approach a player. At first I did not think incoming freshmen could get NIL until they signed and were established. Now it looks like they are signing them up prior to ever playing a down. Anyone know. And does KD have a say so in NIL $ going to a player to keep him from portalling out

I guess that they forgot about their AD offering to double his salary to keep him in Seattle.

The details on the Washington offer to retain Kalen
LINK
Washington offered coach Kalen DeBoer a "Big Ten package" that would have made him among college football's top-10 highest-paid coaches before he left for Alabama, Huskies athletic director Troy Dannen said this week. Speaking at a civic function in suburban Seattle, Dannen said the school's push to keep DeBoer featured financial figures "that were, quite frankly, unprecedented for this university," according to the Seattle Times.
"We put numbers in front of him that were, quite frankly, unprecedented for this university," Dannen said. "We put a Big Ten package in front of Kalen, not a Pac-12 package. …
"When it wasn't signed, Kalen said the right things publicly, and I said the right things publicly … but it gives you pause."

The potential of having two Pac-12 corners starting next year is just so unexpected

No matter what they say, they Really wanted DeBoer entering the B1G. They are a tier below the semi-blue bloods and were willing to pay 9 million
