Does anyone know if Naquil Bertrand ready for a tackle position right or left?
Just looking at who’s committed so far from portal. Looks like Domani can replace Amos with no talent drop. Austin Mack replaced Sayin and don’t think there’s much drop there if any. So that leaves Bertand and Brailsford. We’re set at both guard spots and Pritchet has experience at LT if he can get his head straight. We have Brockmeyer as a center but I know Braulsford is C as well. Just thinking about how this shakes out.

Betrand is a developmental guy, was only at A&M for 4 months after spending a year at a prep school. Don't think he saw any playing time.

He’d be a great addition. Hopefully we get him.

Agree, need him badly. Would immediately start for us and fill a gaping hole.

We would then be set at DB now. And not have to worry.

I wouldn’t be upset when Jim leaves Michigan if we could get their Safety.

Everyone saying the center is too small. He played decent against Texas, and that dline wrecked our shite.

Didn't play well against Michigan though. Hardly an indictment, their front gave everyone problems.

He probably needs to beef up but we've had fearsome running games with guys like Valchos.

He was the center on the best OL in college football. Watch him on film. "It's not the size of the dog in fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." He wins battle against larger DL with his strength, quickness, and technique.

I just don't buy the size uber alles logic on the OL. We saw that logic at work the last few years and the tale of the tape is straight forward:

Size without good technique is actually a liability.

We had the largest offensive line in football. Ever. And it was nothing to brag about. You need size on the line but technique and leverage will win the battle the majority of the time. I want players with good technique and leverage and the coach who can teach it.

Texas had two All-American DTs. Honestly, we've had the best talent for the past two years and only have a SEC Championship for it. It ain't always about player specs. It also has to do with Scheming.

We've had some SHITTY coaching the past few years.
