Can anyone provide a backstory to this pose that was used 5+ times tonight? I've seen Metchie use it a couple times throughout the year but both sides pulled it out tonight

Other teams doing it is to mock Bama. Maybe Meech like the karate kid?

He should have been carrying crime scene tape all night.

Yes, I am aware it is the karate kid pose but I assumed it was a social media trend that popped up recently

Having said that, it makes the win that much sweeter if they were mocking Metch.

It's the crane kick from Karate Kid. The quote from Miyagi in the movie is "If do right, no can defense".

Or Will Anderson. He, Bryce, and Neal have been the heart and soul of this team.

I was at the game and it was pretty much hell on me for 58 minutes. A lot of calls they got were influenced by the crowd. They halfway looked at the review with Trey Sanders and blew a quick whistle before the final push. But it was a glorious walk out of the stadium. Watching the celebration of the players was worth the 58 minutes of misery. One thing I will never question this 2021 team about is guts and heart, I witnessed both in a span of 2 minutes and 4 overtimes. Roll Tide.

All year long.
Must be those uniform colors that the refs have a hard time telling that they're wrapped around the offensive players.

Yea I think Jameson actually started doing it first. They asked Jameson about it on a pregame interview/story, I think last week. Auburn was definitely doing it to mock us though and I love the fact that it blew up in their faces. ROLL TIDE guys, awesome win and you can't question the heart of this team. Win and advance

Not 100% sure, but I believe Bama is 4 for 4 on 2 point conversions this year.

told my brother thats the first game this year where the defense actually came out and hit consistently. theres usually one or two "hits" per game, but then they go into their grab around the waist and slow dance to the ground, all the while giving up valuable yardage and first downs. defense looked good last night.

Aubies on social media are comical. I don’t wanna hear another Auburn fan tell me about how much more they love their school than anyone else. The complete 180 they’ve done from the 4th quarter yesterday to acting like they don’t care now tells me everything I need to know
