You can take this however you want, but here it is...
AAU is dirty as hell, and water is wet. Grant DOES NOT play ball with the dirty guys, period!
This may cause use to miss out on some players, but he runs a tight ship and wont stoop to the level of other schools.
I'm not saying this as a means to keep him, just pointing out that he's not a bad judge of talent; he just doesn't play with dirty AAU coaches and junk.
Again, you don't have to believe me... I just know a few 6a coaches and they've told me the same thing.

He's landed players that were highly rated. They just haven't gotten better when they get to campus. In Cooper's case, they've regressed.

I can appreciate him being a straight guy with the AAU coaches and handlers, but for the love of God come up with an O that can score more points in a game than the I-Q of a blithering idiot.

Cooper has never been a shooter, at least one you could rely on game in and out. He's just a scorer. Not a mid-range guy like Levi, just scores around the basket using athletic ability.
Though I will agree, watching us on O is super painful to watch.
I just really wanted Grant to be the guy, and most of me still hopes that somehow he ends up being the guy I expected him to be...

Are we losing/playing today?
Posted on 1/25/14 at 9:11 pm to Ol'DirtyCam
Win or lose, giving away a 19-point lead is inexcusable.

And the exciting win is going to make people forget about how awfully we played in the 2nd half. Cue the "Save the Granters"

That happens in basketball all the time. Just the nature of the game.

Have you only been watching us? We're famous for giving up leads
Posted on 1/25/14 at 9:20 pm to Bama Bird
I watch just about every game. We can give up a lead better than anyone, but it's common in basketball. Look at the celtics and heat game last week. Heat were blowing them out the first half and then they came back and almost won....it's just the way it is.

Anthony Grant almost Anthony Grant'd that.

I'm not here to be a grant apologist, but it's not as bad as everyone thinks. We're young and we played a tough schedule. We're not a good team and even though we lost, a lot of those games we played above our talent level and kept them close.
Posted on 1/25/14 at 9:45 pm to frankreynolds
We're not young, 7 of the 9 players on the team have been here three years or more.
Posted on 1/25/14 at 9:49 pm to Bamaman54
with the schedule we have played so far...a shitty lsu team is our best win?
This man still has got to go.
