Ray prolly have a great year next year and be gone . Get one good season out of him smh

Isn't that how it works for most players though? You get one average season, next season they breakout and smartly turn that into money at the next level. Ray breaking out next to Davis who also hopefully has a great season would be huge for us and our title hopes next year.

I understand what he's saying though. It would be nice to get 2 good seasons out of guys, especially when they have done really well in limited action.

Just saying let him learn . Doesn’t have to be a great year but let him play more especially in blowouts which every game was and gain experience so he is ready to ball out the next year. End of the year Buggs, Davis couldn’t even chase plays down and we had fresh legs who get little PT. I know it is a “process” but I can see how some get frustrated by our rotations

Yeah, I think DL rotations can be done more if they're managed well; e.g., rotating #2 DLs more against cupcakes and 1 at a time for a series against P5 opponents. That helps the #2s develop sooner to where there's less and less drop off. And it helps avoid long drive, 4th quarter and season fatigue.

I’ve never been as high on Bo Davis as some are here, but I will say he was very productive with the rotations he used along the DL.

There are only posts referencing Bo hype and then taking the contrary view. There is no actual Bo hype lol.

It's almost like people have a sense that their hate on Bo take isn't a hot take, so they spice it up with the "well I know a lot of people around here can't bear to hear a SIZZLER like this, but, hold on to your pants and strap in, gang, because..." preamble.

All this for the man that brought the 50 sack season to Bama!

This is stupid and simply not true. Bo gets hyped up all the time, so most of us get tired of that bullshite and say we doubt he would be that good to get ahead of it because without fail anytime DL coach is brought up, Bo comes up as the DL savant and recruiting master.

That's because it's true. He would be a perfect fit on this staff however we have a very good dl coach that I hope sticks around.

Not a chance he actually was if the timing on Sark is true. But I still love his offense and some team is going to snap him up next year and kick butt with that scheme

The only time I ever heard his name mentioned as a viable candidate was on this board...

He’s never been in the running. Just a name someone threw against the wall on this board.

He ran a more advanced RPO scheme than Locksley and at the time the internal rumor was Saban wanted to stay with that up tempo spread scheme, the assumption being RPO based. Gleeson was the guy who fit that, but a lot has changed about what we know since then
