I would be disappointed if Saban brought him back. Deboll seems to make the adjustments when needed and part of that it seems Saban trust him enough to do it. Ability to adapt and Saban's trust is enough for me and hope we can keep Deboll around for a long time.

I do miss the pro style offense over this hybrid shite that Saban thinks we have to run in order to keep up...

How did sticking to that workout for Les Miles -- even with Mettenburger at QB?

How did it workout for UGA last Saturday? Btw, Kirby is now recruiting DT QBs too.

Offenses with good DT QBs are much tougher to defend than those with good "pro-style" passers with limited running ability.

Come on dude, Les Miles ran the old school Stallings and Mal Moore offense and called it pro style. We actually ran a legit one-back, 3 wide pro offense with an emphasis on physically punishing the defense. The two are not remotely the same at all.

The dual threat and hunh did a number on Saban but regardless it is just my personal preference though Saban might change back after he reads this thread tonight.

We don't go hurry-up very much, but can and do when it makes sense. In no way has Saban deviated from wanting a physical dominant running game, balanced run/pass TOP-control offense. Our current Erhardt-Perkins based modern pro-style/DTQB spread hybrid is a great offense -- very adaptable against various defensive schemes.

Didn’t we win a National Title with McElwain as OC?

No thanks to Mac. Nuss won one as well and he sucks too. A good OC with Ingram, Richardson and Julio would have likely done much better. Saban has won with defense and a running game so he was good with it. No way Mac ever works for us again imo.

This. 31 points, should have been 34, with only possessing the ball for roughly 21 minutes. Although I didn't like going away from that outside run to two straight calls up the middle before the missed FG. Other than that, I thought he did pretty well.
