Dabol about cost us the game. RUN THE BALL!

I'd argue that he overran the ball, at least with Jalen, on the second to last drive. Hell we only threw 19 passes the whole night.

He threw when we should have run the ball

The absolute worse thing he did was motion the back out of the backfield on that 3rd down in the 4th quarter, just before Pop missed the FG.
Took away an option and told Miss St we were either going to throw or QB run, and guess what we had been doing that entire drive...running the ball. Everyone knew a QB run was coming.

Like when? On the last two plays of the game?

I wouldn't be shocked to see him hired as an analyst, but that put some unnecessary pressure on Daboll.
Essentially says, "Hey, your replacement is right here." Daboll hasn't been bad enough to face that.

We were scorching them. Then he went away from what was working.

I can only assume you are talking about the next-to-last drive where we missed the FG. I agree I didn't like his calls, but they weren't pass plays. They were designed QB runs (which I don't mind generally, it's just that Jalen was clearly winded and the RBs had been doing good). We really didn't go to the pass during that series.

We well over 400 yards and 31 points. Neither is great but the defense played worse.

The offense could hardly get on the field until 3rd quarter. I think Daboll did good considering time of possession.

I'm a helluva lot less concerned about Daboll than I am our OL coach. We put 31 on the board, had a FG hit an upright, and had Hurts throw a one hopper to a wide open guy in the end zone.
Our OL is mediocre in places. That isn't on Daboll.

Seniority is the problem with the OL, veterans get so much slack because are less likely to make "mental errors".
They'd rather puy a less talented guy out there that can get beat than a talented, younger guy who is more error prone.
