It shouldn't come down to that. This is NOT an Alabama defense. Saban apparently hired a guy that can't handle SEC offenses. This defense was worse than the 3 Mikes era.

I really liked Mac in this game.. he made mistakes but damn we put up some points.. defense was a shite show and even worse was our mistakes. Never seen a team more out of focus

Why rebuild we return most of our defense, 3/5 or 4/5 OL. Mac will be ok at QB. Najee is gome but Robinson is back and Sanders is till there. Waddle returns and we have talent at WR.

He throws two pick sixs and because we have NFL wideouts making all-pro plays all of a sudden Mac was decent?
The starter next year shoukd be Bryce or Taulia.
Also Golding and the special teams coach shouldn't still be on the staff in February.

It's arrogance. It's the same arrogance that caused Saban to double down on Golding and try to fit a square peg in a round hole after the horrible performance against Clemson, and the same arrogance that has led Saban to not believe he has a kicking problem worth fixing for over a decade.
He is a program builder and talent accumulator. The best turnaround artist in college football history probably. But when the opposing talent is equal to his team's or better, Saban loses. Not a great gameday coach.
